37 Year Old Dawn Foster Missing, Lieutenant Abraham Tokier Arrested Charged with Kidnapping & Domestic Violence (UPDATE: Found Safe)

37 year old Dawn Foster of Desert Hot Springs has been missing since February 24, 2011. She was reported missing by her family and has not been seen or heard from since her disappearance. Dawn Foster was reported as a critical missing person on March 1st, by a friend who had knowledge of her previous domestic violence issues. Has this domestic violence case become much worse?

Cathedral City Police Department - Cathedral City, CA

The Cathedral City Police department issued a statement regarding the investigation Friday in front of City Hall. Police revealed that Tokier is married to a different woman, the missing person is his girlfriend.

Police also said if the woman is not found soon, they will contact the FBI. The Cathedral City Police department is also working with the Sheriff’s department in Havasu.

Tokier does have a history of domestic violence and police say he is not cooperating with investigators at this time.

Palm Springs Police Lieutenant  Abraham Tokier, 50, was arrested and is being charged with kidnapping and domestic violence and in connection with the with the missing Cathedral City woman, Dawn Foster.  According to Detectives, the couple was known to have been in the Lake Havasu and Bullhead City area on the Colorado River recently. Tokier is being held at the Robert Presley Detention Center where bail was set at $500,000.

Detectives now know the pair had been in Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City in Arizona around the time of Foster’s disappearance.

Officers initially responded to domestic violence call at Tokier’s residence in the 68800 block of Panorama Road on Feb. 23. Neighbors described that Tokier and Foster had a violent relationship.

   Is he related to Sara Tokier?
   Tokier is definitely not a common US name and there are only two in the white pages, both in CA.

   Could he be a brother or relative somehow and if so I wonder how that factors into the lack of information in regards to Sarah Tolkier disappearance, if at all.
