Surely you can’t be serious … Polyester leisure suits, an clueless Inspector, a 180 degree little girl’s swiveling head and Yoda make the National Film Registry.

Along with 24 other movies, most likely Airplane was selected as a tribute to the late Leslie Nielsen. Other films that made the list were The Empire Strikes Back, The Exorcist, The Pink Panther, and Saturday Night Fever.

Overwhelming Majority of American Voters Say FCC Hand Off Our Internet (54% Oppose – 21% Approve)

Now they want your Internet …

According to a recent Rasmussen poll, an overwhelming majority of Americans are against federal regulation of the Internet and believe that government regulation would be used for a political agenda. Ya think! The only folks that are for the regulation of the Internet are Liberals. Of course these people want to regulate your hopes and dreams as well. Only 21% want the Internet regulated while 54% appose. So much for free speech.

American voters believe free market competition will protect Internet users more than government regulation and fear that regulation will be used to push a political agenda.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 21% of Likely U.S. Voters want the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to regulate the Internet as it does radio and television. Fifty-four percent (54%) are opposed to such regulation, and 25% are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

The survey was conducted shortly after the FCC decided on a party line vote to impose so-called “net neutrality” regulations on the Internet world. Republicans and unaffiliated voters overwhelmingly oppose FCC regulation of the Internet, while Democrats are more evenly divided. Those who use the Internet most are most opposed to FCC regulations.

Liberals want to regulate what you eat, what you earn, what you pass on to heirs, what you think, what you listen to and now your web-surfing habits. … basically they want to regulate you from birth to death. So much for your free speech, Big Brother will be watching. Good point made by Wake Up America, its always the 21% that are against everything and as coincidence would have it, 21% = Liberals.

Let’s see how this issue plays in 2012 with so many against net neutrality.

State Run LEFT Media Talking Points … Obama-Pelosi Regime, “Congress the Most Productive Since Great Society”

The LEFTist state run media just cannot help them self doing the bidding for the Obama – Democrat regime …

The MSM find themselves  in a game of political Texas Hold’em and are pot committed with Obama-Pelosi-Reid. While “We the People” say that the 111th Congress is the worst ever with a job approval at 13%; however, the liberal state run media usual suspects have been given their “marching orders” stating that the 111th “Congress the Most Productive Since Great Society”.

Listen to the liberal MSM talking points … hmm, I sense a pattern

Wait until you hear Obama’s whopper of a line that ends this VIDEO … “and it comes on the heals of the most productive two years that we have had in generations.” Most productive, hardly. Most expensive, YES! The state run medias most productive Congress has set a record, as stated at the Gateway Pundit, the 111th Congress added more debt than the first 100 Congresses combined …  $10,429 Per Person!:

More at CNS News

The federal government has accumulated more new debt–$3.22 trillion ($3,220,103,625,307.29)—during the tenure of the 111th Congress than it did during the first 100 Congresses combined, according to official debt figures published by the U.S. Treasury.

That equals $10,429.64 in new debt for each and every one of the 308,745,538 people counted in the United States by the 2010 Census.

Is it any wonder why the American people have given this Congress the lowest job approval ever and booted the Democrats out of power in the 2010 midterm elections in record numbers with a GOP +63 gain.

Barack Obama Eats Junk Food Behind First Lady Michelle Obama’s Back

Michelle Obama’s food police are for thee, not for me.

Isn’t this special … Barack Obama chowing down on a “shaved ice” snow cone while on vacation in Hawaii.  The very type of “junk food” that First Lady Michelle Obama tells the rest of American parents that is evil. So why is it ok for the President and the first family to eat their fair share of junk food, yet they dictate to “We the People” quite a different story. Wait until Michelle finds out, oh what, the one on the left is for her.

The hypocrisy knows no limit.

President Barack Obama made the first public appearance of his vacation Monday, stopping by one of his favorite local shops for a Hawaiian snow cone known as “shave ice.”

The president, dressed casually in a black polo shirt, khaki shorts and flip-flops, ordered a flavor combination of melon, lemon-lime and cherry at Island Snow, a store Obama has frequented during past trips to Hawaii. The president chatted with excited workers and asked them about their holidays as he placed about a dozen more orders for his family and friends.

CNN Poll: Americans Still Oppose Individual Mandate, 6 in 10 Oppose Individual Mandate that Requires all Americans to Buy Health Insurance

According to a recent CNN/Opinions Dynamics poll, Americans still oppose the individual mandate provisions that requires all individuals to purchase health care insurance. By a 60% to 38% margin, Americans oppose the individual mandate. Also, a majority of Americans polled oppose Obamacare overall. CNN states that the number of people opposed is less than earlier this year. Maybe they would like to check out the Rasmussen poll, where 60% oppose and want the the government take over of health care repealed. Also, the ABC-WAPO poll had support for Obamacare at an all time low.

He’s Baaack … Former Democrat SC Senate Candidate Alvin Greene to Run for SC State House

Alvin Greene … he’s baaaack.

Fresh off his landslide loss to South Carolina Republican US Senator Jim DeMint, Alvin Greene has paid the $165 entry fee to run in a special election to replace the late state Rep. Cathy Harvin (D). Sadly,  Harvin died due to complications from breast cancer at the age of 56.

Maybe Alvin can retool his US Senate video, ALVIN GREENE IS ON THE SCENE

Like Barack Obama, Alvin Greene’s #1 issue is jobs [sarcasm intended on both counts].   What ever happened to that 2012 presidential run Greene said he was going to do? What ever happened to those two indictments, disseminating, procuring or promoting obscenity — a felony, as well as a misdemeanor charge of communicating obscene materials to a person without consent.

Alvin Greene, the unemployed military veteran who won the Democratic nomination to face Sen. Jim DeMint (R) this fall, has filed to run for South Carolina’s state house.

Greene, who lost to Demint by over 30 percentage points, paid the $165 entry fee five minutes after the filing period opened on Christmas Eve to run in a special election to replace the late state Rep. Cathy Harvin (D), according to the Associated Press.

His surprise primary victory over presumptive nominee Vic Rawls prompted calls from Democrats to investigate the election results, but he remained on the ticket through the general election.

Can you imagine this guy being voted into the SC state house? A primary for the state House race will be held February 15 and the special election will take place on April. 5, 2011. YIKES! Talk about a mockery of the political process,  as there is no word yet on whether the Alvin Greene bobblehead or action figure will be re-fashioned for Greene’s latest electoral adventure.

There might be the perfect job for this unemployed Democrat … Come on Barack, isn’t there a place in your administration for Alvin … maybe the “distributing of porn to minors” Czar?

Lost in Smallness: Barack Obama Calls Eagles Owner & Applauds Team for Giving Dog Killer Vick a Second Chance

Barack Obama, Lost in Smallness: The Michael Vick  Convicted Dog Killer Edition. Just curious Barack, what took you so long to jump on the Vick band wagon, Vick got his second chance in Aug 2009.

It was reported at Pro Football Talk, that President Barack Hussein Obama called the owner of the Philadelphia Eagles Jeffrey Lurie to congratulate the team for giving quarterback Mike Vick a second chance. What? Obama finds time to call an owner of an NFL team to congratulate them on giving a dog killer a second chance, yet we have 9.8% national unemployment, record spending & federal deficits and record individuals on food stamps. What is wrong with this President that he feels the need to interject himself in sports? Recently, Vick stated that he wanted to own another dog. Maybe Obama is willing to give up his?

Though the Eagles didn’t have a chance to make news on the field tonight, they made some more news off the field.

Peter King of NBC reported during Football Night in America that President Barack Obama recently called Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie to congratulate the team for giving quarterback Mike Vick a second chance.

President Obama explained that a level playing field rarely exists for prisoners who have completed their sentences.  Vick’s success gives all of them hope.

Why did Obama even interject himself in this issue? He is the President of the United States, why did he feel the need to comment on this issue? Once again we are witness to Barack Obama, lost in smallness. Doug Powers raises a couple of interesting questions regarding Obama’s reasons to make an issue of Vick’s second chance. What a shock that Obama’s chooses a divisive individual. Would the front-runner Obama have referenced Vick is he was not having a good season? Doubt it.

Would this call have been made if Vick had been having a lousy season? I mean, should the success or failure of a second chance be judged solely by QB rating? Heck, would the call have been made if Lurie wasn’t such a big Democrat/Obama supporter?

UPDATE I: Obama supportive of second chance for Michael Vick; however, Barack Obama had no comment on the fact that the dogs that Vick killed never got a second chance. What about the dogs Mr. President, don’t you have one? Kill a dog, get a second chance. I am sure BO feels really good about this.

“He of course condemns the crimes that Michael Vick was convicted of,” said White House Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton, “but, as he’s said previously, he does think that individuals who have paid for their crimes should have an opportunity to contribute to society again.”

Next Barack Obama will be singing the praises of child murderers and rapists who have got a second chance.

Janet Napolitano Says Director Of National Intelligence Did Not “Need” To Know About London Terror Plot

The London terror plot arrests, it was a need to know basis and HHS Secretary felt that the Director Of National Intelligence did not need to know. I feel safe. It is exactly this type of dealing with terrorism that makes “We the People” feel unsafe.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano in an interview with CNN’s State of the Union said that Director Of National Intelligence James Clapper did not need to know about the 12 terror suspects arrested in London in a terror plot because he was involved in other things. Napolitano claims that because others know, there was no need to be concerned.

The eye opening and startling event took place during  an ABC – Diane Sawyer  interview with National Director of Intelligence James Clapper, Chief Counter Intelligence advisor John Brennan and Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano, when James Clapper was caught off guard and had no idea of the days news that 12 terrorists had been arrested in the UK.
