Aretha Franklin, The Queen of Soul Battling Pancreatic Cancer … I Say a Little Prayer For You
Please say a prayer for the Queen of Soul …
Aretha Franklin, the singer who brought us the song, R-E-S-P-E-C-T now needs our prayers. It has been reported that the 68 year old Franklin has pancreatic cancer. The Grammy winning singer cancelled all of her concerts last month until next year for “medical reasons”.
QUEEN of soul ARETHA FRANKLIN is fighting cancer and has less than a year to live, it was reported yesterday.
The Respect singer, 68, is suffering incurable advanced pancreatic cancer, a US mag claimed.
Her family confirmed she had the disease but refused to give details or discuss her prognosis.
Family and friends are “very concerned” but said she is doing well.
The moment I wake up
Before I put on my makeup
I say a little pray for you
While combing my hair now,
And wondering what dress to wear now,
I say a little prayer for you
On December 2 Aretha Franklin underwent surgery in Detroit, the operation was called “highly successful” by the singer’s spokesperson.
God is still in control,” Franklin said after last week’s surgery. The 68-year-old singer’s condition has been the subject of speculation since she announced she was clearing her calendar “at the insistence” of doctors. Earlier this summer, Franklin suffered a serious fall in which she broke two ribs, and she also had a brief stay in hospital in early November.

…my prayers go out to a truly God-loving woman!
God bless Aretha. I treat cancer patients and this is one difficult disease and treatment. She will need lots of strength and prayers to get her through this.
Thanks for picking pics that paint her in the best possible light! Some goofus over at FOX put up a pic of her that made her look like she just got
done eating a sack of potato wedges.
When you’ve got the amount of talent that Aretha’s got… a few extra potato wedges don’t matta.
Miss Franklin hits the right note – right on time -every time! Best wishes for a speedy recovery, lady.
