The Obama Administration likes to tout the $787 billion stimulus plan as a success and job creator, really? Does any one think that spending $2 million per job is a success? That is correct, $2,000,000 per job. After receiving $111 million in Obama’s federal stimulus funds, the city of Los Angeles, CA created a whopping 55 jobs.
The city received $111 million in stimulus under American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) approved by the Congress more than year ago.
“I’m disappointed that we’ve only created or retained 55 jobs after receiving $111 million,” says Wendy Greuel, the city’s controller, while releasing an audit report.
“With our local unemployment rate over 12% we need to do a better job cutting red tape and putting Angelenos back to work,” she added.
According to the report, the Los Angeles Department of Public Works generated only 45.46 jobs (the fraction of a job created or retained correlates to the number of actual hours of work) after receiving $70.65 million, while the target was 238 jobs.
Similarly, the city’s department of transportation, armed with a $40.8 million fund, created only 9 jobs in place of an expected 26 jobs.
These are the type of numbers that are the reality of the wasted tax payers money and the mortgaging of out grand children’sfutures. The Obama stimulus has been a complete disaster. It is exactly this type of poor handling of the economy why Obama and Democrats need to be thrown out of office in 2010 and 2012. Imagine Democrat Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid telling America that he was not at all responsible for the poor economy. Who do you think helped pass Obama’s $787 billion stimulus folly? And it will be Reid’s “self-proclaimed pet” Chris Coons who will continues to be a rubber stamp for Reid and Obama if he is elected in Delaware.
Want to continue this ridiculous cherade of incomepetence and the ruining of the America econeomy, by all means vote for a self proclaimed Marxist like Chris Coons. Because voting a Marxist into the Senate is just what America needs. It has worked so well for the United States when one was elected President.

An article Democrat Chris Coons wrote for his college newspaper may not go over so well in corporation-friendly Delaware, where he already faces an uphill battle for Vice President Joe Biden’s old Senate seat.
The title? “Chris Coons: The Making of a Bearded Marxist.”
In the article, Coons, then 21 years old and about to graduate from Amherst College, chronicled his transformation from a sheltered, conservative-minded college student who had worked for former GOP Delaware Sen. William Roth and had campaigned for Ronald Reagan in 1980 into a cynical young adult who was distrustful of American power and willing to question the American notion of free enterprise.

I wonder in whose pocket this money ended up?
There needs to be an in depth investigation and audit for all of these “stimulus” fund dollars.
For all you social/democrats out there: The federal government or any government for that matter DOES NOT create jobs. Government is a consumer of wealth. Businesses create jobs.
Obama got it wrong on day one, two, three, ect, ect. What a waste!

A new report from Republican senators Tom Coburn and John McCain says too much of the $862 billion in stimulus money is being spent with dubious results: $700,000 for a researcher to study improvised music. For a project on interactive dance, 44 percent of the money goes to “overhead.”
The $1.9 million spent to photograph ants in foreign countries has created two jobs created so far. That’s better than other ant research stimulus projects: $451,000 has created one job, $276,000 spent on another created six one-hundredths of a job, and the $800,000 spent on a different one created no jobs.
The $144,000 spent to study the behavior of monkeys on cocaine created four-tenths of a job.

While there were some grants for Education that were a positive—-here….in one of the most prosperous States in our Nation—people are hurting for JOBS.
The Mom and Pop companies are closing shop left and right, and even some of the biggest employers (IBM & Genzyme) have cut back or done massive “re-organizations” which is just a fancy word for employees being laid off. They are not giving them the generous severance packages like they did after the dot.com bubble burst in the early 2000′s. It’s Adios Baby, and you are on your own.
