DNC Names St. Louis, Charlotte, Minneapolis & Cleveland as Four Finalist Cities for 2012 Democratic Convention
The Democratic National Committee has named the following four cities, St. Louis, Charlotte, Minneapolis and Cleveland,
as finalists to host the 2012 Democratic convention. This news pales in comparison as to the naming of who would be hosting the Olympics or World Cup. Actually, more people probably care what city that LeBron James is going to sign with in free agency this year as compared to the DNC convention. The email from DNC Chairman Tim Kaine can be read HERE.
Look for Cleveland to be the front runner in the race as the Democrats desperately need Ohio to be Blue in 2012 and it is a state that has been savaged by unemployment. I am a little surprised that Phoenix, AZ was not among the host cities so that Democrats and Obama can continue to be divisive with illegal immigration. However, by 2012 and the state of the Obama Administration and poll numbers, Chicago, IL may be the only city willing to host the convention and use Chicago-style politics to renominate The One with an approval rating of 40%.
I am wondering why the Democrat National Committee does not pick a city in a state where federal stimulus money went to counties and districts that did not exist.
Presently the Generic ballot polls have Republicans ahead of Democrats, 44% to 38%and Obama’s Daily Presidential Tracking poll is at -15.
