Pilot (Andrew Stack) Crashes Plane into Austin, TX Building in Suicide Act Angered at the IRS

It started out as a bizarre story of a plane reported crashed into an office building in Austin, TX … then it became even more strange.

Plane Crash Texas

The first thought of many was this an act of terrorism? Was the plane intentionally crashed into the building? Then it became apparent that it was a act be a single individual with an axe to grind with the IRS. 53 year old Joseph Stack, an  software engineer who crashed his single engine Piper Cherokee plane into the federal office building that contains the IRS at the Echelon 1 building in the 9400 block of Research Boulevard.

A pilot furious with the Internal Revenue Service crashed his small plane into an Austin, Texas, office building where nearly 200 federal tax employees work on Thursday, igniting a raging fire that sent massive plumes of thick, black smoke rising from the seven-story structure.

Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said the incident was a single act by a sole individual, who appeared to be targeting the federal building. He refused to classify it as terrorism.

“I call it a cowardly, criminal act and there was no excuse for it,” Acevedo said at a news conference.

More pics can be seen HERE.

In a bizarre act of going out in a blaze of glory, a disgruntled Andrew Stack posted a 6 page suicide manifesto directed at the government and the IRS declaring that, “I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand.” His on-line rant was entitled,“Well Mr. Big Brother IRS man… take my pound of flesh and sleep well.”

53 year old Andrew Joseph Stack’s 6 page manifesto can be read HERE. It would appear that Stack just snapped from decades of IRS problems.

As government agencies go, the FAA is often justifiably referred to as a tombstone agency, though they are hardly alone. The recent presidential puppet GW Bush and his cronies in their eight years certainly reinforced for all of us that this criticism rings equally true for all of the government. Nothing changes unless there is a body count (unless it is in the interest of the wealthy sows at the government trough). In a government full of hypocrites from top to bottom, life is as cheap as their lies and their self-serving laws.

I know I’m hardly the first one to decide I have had all I can stand. It has always been a myth that people have stopped dying for their freedom in this country, and it isn’t limited to the blacks, and poor immigrants. I know there have been countless before me and there are sure to be as many after. But I also know that by not adding my body to the count, I insure nothing will change. I choose to not keep looking over my shoulder at “big brother” while he strips my carcass, I choose not to ignore what is going on all around me, I choose not to pretend that business as usual won’t continue; I have just had enough. (snip)

Sadly, there have been two bodies found inside the building where Stack crashed his songle engine plane on his suicide mission. The identities of the two dead people have not been confirmed. Also, two other people who were injured in the incident were taken to a hospital, and 11 others were treated for minor injuries, according to Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo.

The Corner reacts to Stack’s manifesto and what the LEFT will soon be referring to this as the Tea Bag Terrorist; however, Stack does not seem to fit the mode or thinking at all.

UPDATE I: Just when you thought the story could not get any more bizarre, it appears that Joseph Stack set his house on fire prior to his suicide mission with his wife and step daughter still in the home. Folks, some times people are just plain crazy and sadly pushed over their breaking point.

Austin Fire Department confirmed Thursday at 8:20 p.m. that two bodies had been found inside the building, but could not confirm their identities.

Where’s the idiot yoyo and his all his liberal losers who claimed this guy was a member of the tea party movement when in this guy’s manifesto who blames and directs most of his anger at GWB.

Hmmmm…anybody want to bet that this guy that crashed this plane voted for Obama? Yoyo, care to put your welfare check where your mouth is?

    2. david r on February 19th, 2010 9:11 am

I think it is clear that the guy is an MSNBC-watching liberal with an Obama sticker on his Prius and Rachel Maddow’s new self-help book (“Muff Diving for Fun and Profit”) on the front seat. By the way, this happened about a half mile from my house.

It is so nice without yOyO !!!
This pilot guy may be crazy but I think he was more sane than obama !!!!!!!

It very clear he’s a teabagger – extreme distaste for the government and taxes. That’s what the teabaggers are all about. Or at least that’s what they claim. But I’m enjoying the teabaggers spin how “he’s a liberal”. Lol. Nice try.

What we have in Stack is an example of the short, violent, hate filled life of a Teabagger. All you have to do is read here to understand this guys mindset – it’s played out here everyday by the likes of #1 and #3.

On the bright side, looks like the Tea Bag Air Force went out of business yesterday.

#1 short eyes – This guy would have felt a lot more comfortable in a tin-foil hat than a pair of Birkenstocks. Kinda like yourself and your crazy “new world order” crap.

I must say he is really crazy for doing such things and burning his own house with his wife and step daughter inside. He could have committed suicide without involving other people!

I feel that the Austin police chief calling the act “cowardly” is only in step with those who work for the government, and there is not a shread of reality in the accusation. But of course this act is wreckless, disregaurding of innocent people…just plain misguided.

Frustration towards big government and the soaking in, sort of a delayed responce, of what dastardly powers gov has over us is to fruitition. Homeland Security, Patriot Act, in the cross hairs of Executive order and more taxes right at the whelm of government. And a very few in government at that, most of whom are associated with a very secret organization.

To me, I concern this activity could spread. And for our best hopes for this country, it is no good. For as long as it has been seen Obama would win the Whitehouse, me nobody, has worried of the damage if Obama so much as gets a close call or an attempt on his life. The only way sociolisum and Obama fall off the clifff is if they do it to themselves…prove themselves wrong. Otherwise Obama and thus sociolisum would be martared more than Kennedy.

I think the fed-up level of more than one way of outlooks is at dangerous levels. The troubles of various minds are on topic with this above wrongful act. Though I have not once heard anyone at a Tea Party showing signs of killing people off. If I had, I would tell it right here. People I have seen at Tea Party’s are those you suspect eat together, at a table, as a family. Not ‘get-a-buzz n bombers’.

    7. Scott on February 19th, 2010 12:18 pm

Oh no I’m enjoying the MSM try to spin this guy a tea party member.

It just goes to show the level of or lack thereof your intelligence level every time you call these people “teabaggers.” It just shows what a tool and utter dispicable and walking joke you are in life. Like I said, gang signs man. I would love to be a leech on society like you and revel in it like you do.

Of course, the substance of his letter means nothing when he’s blaming Bush not Obama.

Like I said, your left wing extremists killed her colleagues because they disagreed with Obama’s policies.

Get a life, better yet get a job you loser!

Yep…crazy like your manmade global warming crap!

      F OFF!

Re comments 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7: What is WRONG with you people?!?! Using this senseless tragedy to further your own political nitwittery is simply unbelievable. There are no squadrons of Tea Party activists in the air. There are no mass flights of liberals on kamikaze missions. There was one disgruntled, evil man who killed an innocent person and ruined no telling how many families – including his own. Why don’t you – for once – have a little decency and common sense and just SHUT UP?

    9. david r on February 19th, 2010 2:38 pm

#8– I am not shutting up until Barry packs up.

    10. Susan on February 19th, 2010 3:44 pm

This guy was very likely being hounded by the IRS with threatening letters (garnishment), phone calls, etc. to pay the $126,000 his first wife owed in back taxes, which resulted in him going way over the edge. What he did to the innocent people in that building is a terrible tragedy, but he was probably targeting the arsehole who wouldn’t let up.

It certainly did bring back horrible memories of 9/11 :-( God bless those who died, were injured and emotionally traumatized forever by this lunatic!

    11. yoyo muffintop on February 19th, 2010 3:57 pm

tuyvnsurvivor – What’s this secrect organization you write about?

Dianne Capps, head of the Tea Party in Washington said this to a crowd on 2/16:
“What happened to Jake when he ran with the wrong crowd?” Capps asked. “He got hung. And that’s what I want to do with Patty Murray.” (Patty Murray is a US Senator (D) )

#8 – That’s fair, but curiously I did not see the same type of post by you on any of the Amy Bishop stories. Maybe I missed it?

      Elmer,

The news item was put out there and is free to interpretation. Criminal as the attack by a domestic terrorist(lone wolf, probably)was, people on all sides of the spectrum still feel the need to make sense out of the senseless act.

The posts, while at times abrasive, is at least a platform where ALL views are aired. I have my thoughts, and you know that I would rather this board had some parameters in terms of language used, but all in all it beats going to a blog where all there is is a choir of people agreeing with everything in unison.

This joint is Democracy in action.

Infowars.com has a really interested perspective on this and what the government is brewing up.

    14. tuyvnsurvivor on February 19th, 2010 6:58 pm

#11, Yoyo…Bilderberg is a good study to get you going for now. Though I feel that if you study well, you may feel there are higher ranking organizations above that. But if you will, while curious just look into Bilderburg for a bit.

Along the way perhaps you see black projects, gov within our gov that we have zero representation, levels of security clearances none in our gov come close to. Powerful approval of puppet high ranking political offices…our choice anyway you go is controled. You will possibly discover massive bunkers and tunneling in which we are not welcome, secret bases, elimination of population, withholding from us of advanced technology we paid for… And even more of– that mystical stuff…to which I let you go on your own.

      Cheers Yoyo, have good life.
