Totally have to agree with you Dana. The one thing I kept thinking when reading some of the comments was that Paulus had at least one younger son; if for no other reason people should have had compassion for him.
Compassion? Oh, you mean like the same kind of compassion that he and Anita showed to the Holloway’s. OK, I get it now.
As for their younger Son, his whole family is a nightmare and a burden to this innocent teenager. Too bad Anita nor Paulus thought enough of their other child to finally make things right with the first and set a better example. It’s so unfair to this kid to have to grow up with the curse and shame his family has left him. At least he has a future—something that was taken away from Natalee Ann Holloway and no remorse or justice for the crimes in sight.
Compassion for him? Why? We would be doing him more by compelling him to come forward and not repeat the same shameful mistakes of his father and do what “protect his family?”
Coddling the son of van der sloot should stop at some point shouldn’t it? You keep enabling this sick victim mentality. The van der sloots can earn their compassion by showing some compassion of their own. Otherwise, I pray for their pain, it’s very clarifying.
Very classy response Dana thanks for that.
Some of the comments re PVDS death were indeed classless and shameful, glad you took the high road and set some here straight.
Sorry to hear that you had to suffer abuse for that. Anyway thanks for your commentary and I pray for you and your family.
You mean to tell me, that Beth and Dave had to search for their daughter years on end…
In sand dunes, garbage dumps, choller pits,
and crab traps…
Hoping, praying, to find even a small piece
of Natalee to bury. To return her home. To
complete the circle of life.
…and knowing all of this…
You’re worried about how Sebastian and Valentijn
will feel about a cartoon over a dead Paulus Van der sloot? Or over disparaging comments on a message board???
Am I missing something? I’m just not “feelin’ it.”
Paulus Van der sloot orchestrated this effing Greek tragedy of monumental proportions that is playing out. (still to this day)
He got off easy! His chips are cashed out.
The rest are left behind in life to suffer.
Paulus died as he lived, a world-class COWARD.
Natalee just wanted to come back home. I have to
save my compassion for her. Compassion to me is
a lot like currency, I want to spend it in a place
where it’s well deserved.
As opposed to dumping it down an empty chute.
When that happens it makes me say:
Fok die beach!
Dana … if the truth regarding Paulus’ true character is covered up … the misguided lessons that he taught his sons in life are furthered … lessons which imply that the legal and moral boundaries established by a civilized society do not apply to them … lessons that there are no consequences for choosing to disregard those boundaries.
Maybe the lack of respect afforded Paulus van der Sloot’s memory will have a positive impact on the future life choices of his sons. Maybe the cycle can be broken. Maybe other “Natalees” will not be at risk.
Dana … I pray that God will give you and your family strength to endure as you provide comfort to your precious sister throughout this difficult period.
Sincerely, Janet

BOTTOM LINE
‘Rita Cosby Live & Direct’ – April 11, 2006
JOHN Q. KELLY, HOLLOWAY FAMILY ATTORNEY: … And it’s sort of ironic that it’s his father who brought his underage son to a casino and left him there after he left, with access to his line of credit, to put this unfortunate chain of events in process.
You know, if Joran had never been there, not been allowed in there, because he’s underage and wasn’t accompanied by his father, the whole rest of the night wouldn’t have happened.
RITA COSBY, HOST: You know, and, John, also, why would that be a significant—why is that in conflict to something else we’ve heard maybe from Paulus before?
KELLY: Well, he’s just claiming that, you know, he’s kept an eye on his son, you know, he’s kept him on a short leash, and, you know, his son is very well-behaved. And it turns out that he’s, you know, got him at casinos. If you’re under 18, you’re not legally even allowed in casinos, so his son was breaking the law with him enabling it.

Oh give me a break. Those Sloots will cover till the day they die. One already did.
Respect can’t be forced on anyone. It must be
earned… in life as well as in death.
Paulus did nothing to earn respect. He was a
criminal and a coward, who did all in his
power to hurt Natalee and her family.
So now he is dead, has this changed?….NO.
Calling many of us low class is the same as
speaking ill of the dead.
anyone find this sight a little odd?No activity for a long time. http://arubanboycott.blogspot.com/
