48 Year Old Julie Ann Kilgore Kidnapped, Missing in Colorado … Found Safe in Wyoming (Update: Suspect Cox Shot by Police)
48 year old Colorado nurse Julie Ann Kilgore was originally kidnapped by her ex fiance 50 year old Dennis Gene Cox from her home in Brighton, CO, sometime early Tuesday evening.
Kilgore is described as being about 5 feet 5 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with blue eyes and blond or light-brown hair. Her car was later found at a nearby shopping center. Her family has not hear from her since Kilgore told them that she would be back in 15 minutes.

Police issued an arrest warrant for Cox on kidnapping charges. Cox has an long criminal history, 41 charges in Colorado since 1986, which includes kidnapping and sexual assault. Um, any woman got involved with this individual, why exactly?
Authorities issued an arrest warrant for Cox on kidnapping charges, The Denver Post reported Friday. Police say the two were spotted in the Denver metro area around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Cox is believed to be driving a four-door 1993 Ford Taurus with the Colorado license plate FFL-972. He is described as white, with brown hair and brown eyes, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and 190 pounds, with tattoos on his neck and abdomen.
Kidnapped and missing Julie Ann Kilgore has been found safe in Laramie, Wyoming.
The suspected kidnapper was still being sought by police. Authorities haven’t said how Kilgore escaped or how she got to Laramie.
UPDATE I: Suspect Dennis Gene Cox shot and wounded by police in Ft. Collins, CO.
A man fitting the description of Dennis Gene Cox, 50, was critically wounded after he pointed a pistol at police officers who recognized him near a bus station at 243 North College Ave. at 4 p.m.
He was rushed to Poudre Valley Hospital, where he died, 9News reported, citing unnamed law enforcement sources.

Fort Collins police said the shooting occurred on a downtown street near a bus station when officers encountered a man who matched the description of the kidnapping suspect.“The suspect pointed a gun at the officers and officers shot the suspect,” a statement from Fort Collins police said.
