  • There have been complaints in the past that full body scanners are too invasive. They may have stopped the “underwear bomber” from getting through security – so the question seems to be, which is worse?

      While it’s true that a full body scan “may” have discovered the vial in the fruit of the booms, it’s even more true that these efforts would have stopped the attempting bombing: 1) not allowing passengers without passports on international flights 2)Double checking and even body scanning those getting on international flights without luggage 3)following up on those in the terrorist database 4) sharing information received by the US Embassy in Nigeria and the CIA offered by the bomber’s father with airlines and TSA 5) profiling
