RAYMOND CLARK ARRESTED!!!

Person of interest Raymond Clark has been arrested by police in the murder of Yale University grad student Annie Le. After it had been reported that the DNA was a match, it was only a matter of time before police moved into the Super 8 motel in Cromwell, CT where Clark was staying and arrested him.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH/AP) – Police say a Yale University lab technician has been arrested in the killing of a graduate student whose body was found stuffed behind the wall of a campus research building.

New Haven Police Chief James Lewis says Raymond Clark III has been arrested and his bond is set for $3 million.

Investigators have gathered more than 250 pieces of evidence in the case, sources told ABC News, including text messages exchanged between Clark and Le arranging to meet on the day the disappeared.

Raymond Clark was apprehended about 8:10 a.m. at a Super 8 motel in Cromwell, Connecticut, where he had spent the night after being released Wednesday following his submission to DNA testing.

   From what I can tell, he gets lethal injection if the DAs prove (1) he murdered a kidnapped person and is the kidnapper; or, (2) he murdered while committing first-degree sexual assault. (There are other death penalty factors that don’t seem to apply.) If he has a good lawyer, he might escape the needle in a compromise verdict. The jury could find that he did not kidnap her but simply killed her, and that he did not sexually assault her. The physical evidence is going to be crucial. He may end up spending life behind bars. Another Henry Lee show trial ?

   I’m relieved to see that the police were able to make an arrest so quickly. This was such a senseless crime.

   I felt sad! What was his motivation of killing Le? Why he ended his future with such a senseless crime.
