Where is Missing Yale Medical Student Annie Le? (Update: Body Found Behind Wall of Science Building)
Where is missing Yale medical student Annie Le? The 24 year old Yale student went missing in New Haven, CT five days before she was supposed to be married.
Today should have been the day that Annie Le was married and that the only question on missing Annie Le’s mind was, “do you take this man, Jonathan Widawsky, to be your husband.” Instead there are nothing but questions as to where is the missing Yale medical student, Annie Le and a wedding canceled.
Cantor Sandra Sherry, who would have presided over today’s ceremony, immediately feared foul play, saying Le, 24, would never skip out on her wedding day.
“I never thought that it was anything like ‘cold feet,’” said Sherry, of Temple Beth El in Huntington, L.I.
Video surveillance tape had shown that Annie Le walked into the science building, yet there was never any footage of the missing 24 year old medical student leaving. One would suspect that possibly she never did leave. Is it possible that the crime occurred in the building and missing Annie Le is still there? Bloody clothes were found in the science building; however, they were not those of Annie Le’s. The video of Le walking into the building would have obviously shown what she was wearing the day she went missing. So whose were they, the potential suspect’s in this case?
The blood-stained clothes found in ceiling tiles at the Yale University laboratory where graduate student Annie Le disappeared are not the clothes Le was last seen wearing, law enforcement officials said
The search for Annie Le had even extended to Hartford, CT where investigators sifting through trash at a Hartford incinerator Sunday morning.
UPDATE I: Police are reporting that a body has been found in the Yale Science building hidden in a wall. There has been no positive ID; however, who else could it possible be but that of missing Annie Le.
Investigators found a body hidden in a wall Sunday in the Yale University building where a missing graduate student was last seen.
Police believe the victim is Annie Le, 24, reported missing Tuesday night, assistant police chief Peter Reichard said at a hastily called news conference last night.
He said the body was found about 5 p.m. Sunday in a chase – a vertical space used for ducts, pipes or wires – in the basement of the building at 10 Amistad St. in New Haven.
There has yet to be a positive ID, but how many students are missing at Yale University? Especially since this building needs card access to gain entrance. Sadly, on the very day that Annie Le was to be married, her body is found.
Body thought to be missing Yale graduate student Annie Le found stuffed into a basement wall of her lab building. As previously speculated, thus the reason why investigators were never able to find video of Annie Le leaving the science building with all of the video cameras available. On thing is for certain, since this building required card access, investigators should know who was in the building at the same time that Annie Le was.
New Haven Police Assistant Chief Peter Reichard said cops found “a large amount” of physical evidence and that the case is being treated as a homicide.
The body was found in an area that houses utility cables that run between floors, police said.
More than 100 investigators from the FBI and three police departments spent the past five days poring over blueprints and surveillance footage, and used bloodhounds to search every inch of the building.
The case is some what similar circumstance to that of 46 year old Eridania Rodriguez who went missing while working at a Manhattan sky rise building. She was seen entering the building on security cameras, but was never seen leaving. Eventually, investigators would find her body
stuffed in an air conditioning duct in a utility room on the 12th floor of the building.

Tragically another missing persons case ends in murder.
One thing is for certain, some one would have to have access to this building to have committed the crime. Badge access would tell who was present and enteres at what time in the building. Video would exclude who left when.
For instance, there would be no reason why person X would come into the building hrs before Annie Le did and never leave until hours after.
I think the police have a very good list of suspects.

I knew when Fox 61 news reported a body found on Sat., was the truth. I understand the FBI needed that 24hrs to catch the killer. Their facial expressions said “OH god we have a leak”. The far left agent blew it at the first news conference.
You noticed they switched agents on the second news conference.
Maybe the killer tipped Fox 61 news?
The police can not protect us from crazy killers. We must defend ourselves.
The killer is someone real smart. He probably avoided using his badge, and instead piggy backed his entry behind someone else with an electronic pass. It is someone with enough knowledge of the building to know of the space behind the wall, and he had enough knowledge of her comings and goings that he knew when to strike. I’ll bet it someone who worked with her frequently, who like Hannibal Lechter said, ‘covets what they see every day.’ I’ll bet they have an arrest in 72 hrs.
We women need to start carrying guns even at work. Or they should start keeping women at work. This woman was killed in broad daylight at YALE UNIVERSITY MEDICAL SCHOOL. Wow. I think it was somebody who worked at the lab with her; as somebody previously mentioned, a janitor or electrician with access to tools to stuff her inside. But it doesn’t mitigate the fact this happened in broad daylight under secure conditions. I wonder if anybody has called in sick this week? Or was unaccounted for at work. They seem to think they have a suspect – not the professor as previously noted.
Seems obvious the “suspect” was obsessed with Annie Lee.
After she rebuffed his repeated interest, he discovered that Ms. Lee was engaged to be married – to a Jewish gentleman.
The suspect could not handle both her rejection, and the person he was being rejected for.
The fact that the authorities are handling the “suspect’s” identity with kid-gloves hints to three things.
1). Suspect is connected to Yale. Now Yale is twisting about to spin their “elite image” in light of this tragedy. Everybody knows that Yale has a crime problem – not a violent crime problem – but serious issues with campus crime.
2). Suspect MAY be a person of color, another reason the authorities are over-reaching in the protection of his identity.
3). He MAY be a Muslim who became enraged that this beautiful, brilliant young woman was rejecting him to marry a Jewish man.
Wait and see.
I’ll be surprised if any of this is incorrect.
I think they’ll find it is a building maintenace man.
Mikio
You are a racist pig. That kind of thinking, point 3 in particular is as myopic and stupid as they come. you prover yourself to be a real. moron I would be surprised if any of my thinking of you is incorrect you dumb ass.
Miklo- I see no evidence that Annie Le was muslim, so it makes no sense a muslim would be jealous she would be marrying a jewish man. She’s of asian ancestry from California so most likely is of christian or buddhist upbringing, not muslim.
I don’t think it is a coincidence that she wrote an article about safety around Yale. I believe the killer probably knew this and in fact I would not be surprised if it was someone she did lab work with, knew about the article and even might have been a confidant of hers that was secretly jealous she was getting married. Perhaps she spurned his advances in the past.
I originally thought it might be a facilities or janitorial person because sadly, a rather large number of them have criminal backgrounds and in fact working in janitorial and facilities is a fairly common first job ex-cons get after being released. However, the fact Annie Le wrote the article on Yale safety makes me think she was targeted almost as a ‘middle finger’ to her and the school. I would not be surprised if we find out she has been harrassed before and that was the incentive to write the article she did back in february in the first place.
Typically, someone that takes the time to write an article on personal safety, especially someone at such a young age as Annie, probably had some kind of experience that made her delve into the subject either personally or through someone close to her.
I agree the person might have slipped in to the complex behind a legitimate cardholder even if they were a student so as to not have a record of their badge on the computer system letting people in.
I would think they are going through all people that were in the building for the previous 24 hours or so one by one to see what time each came and left. Then they will draw a ‘time circumference’ around the time that Annie arrived and go through each of these people. The fact they found bloody clothes from the assailant should make it fairly easy to prove the case through DNA and hair analysis once they get someone. I’m sure the clothes probably already has narrowed the field of suspects to male or female so 50% can be excluded off the bat.
Should be a fairly fast moving case. If I were to guess, the crime was committed by another asian, someone that had a bad crush on Annie Le but was immature and stunted emotionally inside and did not know how to handle rejection.
I actually am finishing up a Masters at Columbia University where her fiance attends and it is widely known that many…not all…but many young asian men who are here studying from other countries have difficulty properly dealing with their social and emotional feelings. Many of them feel awkward, are not used to ‘western women’ that have strong independent personalities, do not understand our social mores fully and have a hard time adapting from their very conservative ‘male centric’ culture.
Remember the young asian man that went nuts shooting up his school last year? The idea of a pretty asian girl marrying a white guy could have simply been ‘unacceptable’ to one of her asian classmates and he flipped out from the rejection and from what he thought was an ‘unjust’ marriage. In my experience many asians keep their true emotions buried very deeply inside and have a hard time expressing themselves. It is a cultural thing that unfortunately more often that you’d think causes awkward, even dangerous situations when it comes to their feelings with westernized women. They simply aren’t equipped form their upbringing to deal with it and the results can be unpredictable when hormones and young love come into play.
Doesn’t surprise me how it ended.. figured it wouldn’t be good.
I heard on the news a few days ago.. and it might just be a rumour that a professor called off classes that day before it was known she was missing. Seldom ever a happy ending when women and children go missing.
Amazing I still see kids out by themselves all the time.. on the streets late evenings. Kids are snatched from their own beds and front yards. Still we talk about the pedophiles rights and turn them loose to live in our neighborhoods to pray on more children..
Annie Le , was reading she did a paper about crime..this year and said always be aware of your surroundings…so was probably someone she was comfortable with or was hiding. I would say they would be on the tapes shown going in and out of the building. Travel in groups… and be prepared.. crimes against women have gotten outrageous in the USA. So many creeps.
Rip Annie Le..such a tragedy..My thoughts to her fiancee, families and friends.
Looks like the cops have their eye on a lab technician, who failed a lie-detector test and has scratches on his chest.

SherlockHomie,
I NEVER said Ms. Le was a Muslim.
I conjectured that her KILLER was Muslim, and was insulted by her decision to marry.
