The Attack on America September 11, 2001 … DO YOU REMEMBER, PLEASE DO NOT EVER FORGET
Eight years ago this morning, September 11, 2001 it was cool beautiful Fall morning when it happened. Then it happened again. Please take time in your day to remember and reflect back on that day and the following days after September 11. Take time to remember and say a prayer.
Do you remember where you were and what you were doing?
We can no longer put our heads in the sand and pretend like 9–11 never happened. Many of us lost colleagues, former class mates, fellow church members and people among our communities that day.
It has been seven years since the fateful morning of September 11, 2001 when a plane hijacked by muslim terrorists crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City. Then another plane hijacked once again by Islamofascists flew into the second Trade Center Tower. Then the Pentagon was attacked. Then a fourth hijacked plane went down in a field in Pennsylvania.

God bless those innocent people who died that fateful day. To the hero fire fighters, police and first responders who ran into the burning building to save others.
To those flight passengers that would go down fighting against terrorism.
God Bless you all.
9-11 touched us all, some more than others as we knew people personally who were lost. I will always remember!

On a personal note …
I can remember working from home that morning. Cup of coffee in my hand and watching the morning news as there was some commotion about a reported small plane that hit one of the Towers of the trade center.
The sky was blue with not a cloud in sight. The speculation was rampant … Then the second plane hit live on TV.
When I heard where the planes came from. They said Logan airport, OMG Boston. A friend was scheduled to fly from Logan to DC that morning for his consultant job. Panic struck.
Thru the grace of God he had decided not to go and to sail that after noon and be with his family. Yes, he was scheduled to be on the same plane.
However, we were not so lucky in other cases as many people from the town were aboard the plane including the sister of a friend and her baby daughter.
Having gone to school in the shadows of NYC and worked there … sadly, we knew too many who passed.
In another case, a close friend who worked in the world trade center life was spared because he got caught in traffic taking his daughter to daycare.
The thoughts and memories of all these people are with me today and the may who I never knew who passed away by doing nothing more than going to work or flying on a plane.
Life is fragile, live it to the fullest and never forget!

God bless those who lost their lives on 9/11.
God bless those first responders who risked or gave their lives to save fellow citizens.
Goc bless President Bush for his measured, and deadly, response to the terrorists and who kept us safe in the years since that fateful day.
God bless our brave soldiers who fight for our freedoms every single day.
God bless America.
On a personal note; I friend that was the manager on my highschool basketball team perished in the Pentagon that day when AA77 hit; no matter what the lunatics like Sheen and the disgusting liberal left; people like Pelosi, Reid, yoyo and any other 9/11 truther….
#4,
yeah, its s bit much to stomach knowing that this President allowed a 911 Truther into the WH.
Condolences to all affected by this tragic day. Remember and honor their deaths by never giving in to those that would want you to forget.

God bless those that were lost and their families, God Bless America.
Remember this day as a line in the sand and remember who stood on which side.

We will never forget the true heroes. 8 years later or 80, we will never forget!
Terrorisim is still very real, as Bin Laden hides somewhere in a remote region of Pakistan—the fact that he is still alive scores a minor victory for Al-Queda even if just for the sake of feeding in to their propoganda.
May God continue to Bless the USA
the white house is full of truthers.
I will never forget. My thoughts & prayers are with the families & friends of the victims of that horrible day when evil tried to destroy us but thanks to Mr. Bush they didn’t get a second chance.
God Bless the U.S.A.
By President George W. Bush, 9/12/2001
President Bush’s comments last night in a nationally televised address:
Today, our fellow citizens, our way of life, our very freedom came under attack in a series of deliberate and deadly terrorist acts. The victims were in airplanes or in their offices. Secretaries, business men and women, military and federal workers. Moms and dads. Friends and neighbors.
Thousands of lives were suddenly ended by evil, despicable acts of terror.
The pictures of airplanes flying into buildings, fires burning, huge structures collapsing, have filled us with disbelief, terrible sadness, and a quiet, unyielding anger.
These acts of mass murder were intended to frighten our nation into chaos and retreat. But they have failed. Our country is strong. A great people has been moved to defend a great nation.
Terrorist attacks can shake the foundations of our biggest buildings, but they cannot touch the foundation of America. These acts shatter steel, but they cannot dent the steel of American resolve.
America was targeted for attack because we’re the brightest beacon for freedom and opportunity in the world. And no one will keep that light from shining.
Today, our nation saw evil, the very worst of human nature, and we responded with the best of America, with the daring of our rescue workers, with the caring for strangers and neighbors who came to give blood and help in any way they could.
Immediately following the first attack, I implemented our government’s emergency response plans. Our military is powerful, and it’s prepared. Our emergency teams are working in New York City and Washington, D.C., to help with local rescue efforts.
Our first priority is to get help to those who have been injured and to take every precaution to protect our citizens at home and around the world from further attacks.
The functions of our government continue without interruption. Federal agencies in Washington, which had to be evacuated today, are reopening for essential personnel tonight and will be open for business tomorrow.
Our financial institutions remain strong, and the American economy will be open for business as well.
The search is underway for those who are behind these evil acts. I’ve directed the full resources for our intelligence and law enforcement communities to find those responsible and bring them to justice. We will make no distinction between the terrorists who committed these acts and those who harbor them.
I appreciate so very much the members of Congress who have joined me in strongly condemning these attacks. And on behalf of the American people, I thank the many world leaders who have called to offer their condolences and assistance.
America and our friends and allies join with all those who want peace and security in the world and we stand together to win the war against terrorism.
Tonight I ask for your prayers for all those who grieve, for the children whose worlds have been shattered, for all whose sense of safety and security has been threatened. And I pray they will be comforted by a power greater than any of us spoken through the ages in Psalm 23: ”Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for you are with me.”
This is a day when all Americans from every walk of life unite in our resolve for justice and peace. America has stood down enemies before, and we will do so this time.
None of us will ever forget this day, yet we go forward to defend freedom and all that is good and just in our world.
Thank you. Good night and God bless America
My friend is at ground zero today remembering her son, who was lost in one of the towers…another friends sister and a genlteman from our community were in each of the two planes that went into the towers… we will never forget and are ever mindful to pray since 2001… such immense loss ~
and for all those families who lost their loved ones on that day ~ our hearts ache with yours…God be with you and give you His strength ~ there are no words to say… just hugs… ~
(the day, my husband asked me to marry him 29 years ago)…
The people who want to hurt others because they do not agree with them or believe like them or they do not like us because of the color of our skin or that we are a free people.
These people who think, that hurting with words or deeds, are mislead by false teachers or parents or just grew up without love. It is wrong to hurt or force others to your side or belief. They need the Lord.
He will not force you to believe in Him. He loves each one of us greatly and wants no one to perish. It’s our choice to serve Him or not. Jesus stands waiting. Don’t take my word for this but read the bible for yourself and make up your own mind.
This earth and the universe did not happen by chance. It had a creator and His name is Jesus. Things are quickly changing and time is short.
We are at the end of the last days. Jesus may return for the believer very soon. I’m not sure how long, but things are adding up quickly.
IF you feel in your heart something is not right don’t wait, pray to God and ask him into your heart and confess that Jesus Christ is His son and die on the cross for your sins.
Find a church and go to it. Read the bible daily.
LET me know if you made the confession or need help in this by emailing me at msn hot mail

I believe in God, the all mighty, but I do not believe in Obama….the mass destruction….Rev Wright and his teachings to Obama which he lived under for many years….Does he still come in the back door….? Ugly!!!
Brie……stay on topic.
I remember the entire day vividly. I was a student at a university that was in the flight path of a major airport. The things I remember watching the commercial planes land one after the other in quick succession while fighter planes from the nearby Air Force base and the local Air National Guard buzzed through the skies.
I remember standing in the student union with nearly everyone else on campus, watching the live TV feed on the big screens. The center, normally a buzz of activity and noise, was deathly silent as everyone listened attentively to the feed.
I remember learning that my employer had a location is Liberty Square that sustained substantial damage in the attack. We later learned that this location was converted to a makeshift morgue as responders recovered bodies.
I remember being very angry when I learned of the attacks. I could not believe our intelligence failed so badly. My anger quickly turned to sadness and I cried throughout the entire benefit concert shown on TV a couple of nights later. I stayed in a depressed funk for nearly 2 months and I am still pushed nearly to tears every time I see video of the towers collapsing.
I will never forget and though my children were not yet born by that fateful day, I will make sure they never forget the date as well.
God bless those that lost someone important to them on that day and may god bless the brave men and women of our armed forces as they continue to fight the powers that perpetrated the horrible attacks of 9/11.
#15, Brie is on topic. Rev wright with his “chickens have come home to roost” and “G-D America” preaching that we deserved the attack. All the while people are left to wonder if Obama was in attendance that day as his mentor spat in the faces of those that it hurt the worst.
What was his attitude towards the hateful preacher? That is the day he should have walked out of that church not to ever look back, not when we learned about that sermon years later.
No I don’t think Pres. Obama agreed with that sermon but he really should have took a stand. I wonder what he did take from the message.
BTW Rev. Wright was not alone in that belief, Louis Farrakan delivered a much more powerful statement but that can be expected.
Bottom line is war was declared on us and we still have not won. The upsetting part is you look at your fellow Americans and you are left to wonder who’s side are they on?
Oh God, Whats to say, The worst day in MY lifetime, a scene that should NEVER be forgotten, and shows what happens when we do nothing!!! God bless all the victims and their families and the wonderful brave rescue services!!!
My heart breaks today like it did in 2001 for those lost and the families of those lost.
May we never, never, ever forget this day.
Steve Holloway,
I am hard pressed to find a church offering a memorial service or memorial service by any other entity today. I have called my church to volunteer to do a prayer service for next year.
We need to be the flames of the eternal rememberance of those lost. We need to stop sitting on our hands. Do something today. Since I can’t find a memorial service, I am stopping by the bakery and picking up some goods for the fire fighters in my local. My prayers now and tonite for all of those lost and those who lost loved ones.
NEVER FORGET SEPTEMBER 11, 2001
This was the first year since 9/11 I did not attend a (the) memorial service at work Reason being, apparently there wasn’t a memorial service this morning like in years past. When I go back to work Monday, I’ll inquire as to why not, if that was the case. Hopefully someone will give me a damn good reason, but I can’t think of any. It’s downright shameful and a disgrace!!
Anyway, let’s ALL hope and pray with Obama in office (and/or whomever in the future) there will not a REPEAT of 9/11. Personally, I’m afraid, absolutely terrified that Obama, his administration, his czars, his racists/communists associates, etc., have weakened our national security to the point the possibility is very real.
The world has become both dangerous and scary. Too many humans have been consumed totally by evil forces rendering them incapable of rational thought much less action.
GOD will speak with each of us individually when HE sends JESUS back to judge this sinful world.
In my wildest imaginations I cannot compose a thought process to understand how anyone, or any group of persons, could destroy other human beings.
Most especially knowing, either consciously or sub-consciously, that GOD will be their ultimate JUDGE.

That’s great you were thinking of your local fire fighters. I am a 20 year firefighter and we had a lady drop by our station and thanked us by leaving a dozen donuts to had with our coffee. A very simple thing to do and to thank us for our service to the community.
We do not do it for the pay, that’s for sure. We want to help our fellow man or woman. I can tell you a few week back we ran on a call of a two year old child that fell in a back yard swimming pool and drown. We got on the scene first and the mother was giving CPR from the directions of the 911 center. We continued the CPR and the child started to breath. IT was a total combined effect. A firefighter and myself whisper a quick prayer for the child as we worked on them. We was just part of it, and it was a great feeling to see the child breathing again. After a few days in the hospital they had a full recovery.
Sometimes we get second chance like this little child. I hope they do great and wonderful things.
Maybe today is your day to make a change. Start the walk toward God and He will start toward you, this I promise.
NEVER FORGET WHAT HAPPEN ON 9-11
The world still remembers. It is still fresh in my mind as with many others. Being unemployed, I spend the day watching TV and reading blogs like this one. I googled 9-11 and I read a post that you should find interesting. I’ve been sharing it all day, even on my Facebook page. Let me know what you think: http://www.advice.com/article/2009/09/11/Advice+on+How+Best+To+Remember+September+11%252C+2001. God Bless the US
Love your post, Steve ~ you’re speaking truth ~ and it’s very appreciated…
love,

in Jesus Christ
&
praying, always… praying ~
(for your family too..)
Pathetic is all I can say in reading many of the above posts.
Can we please for one day leave President Obama out of this? This day has nothing to do with him. Those of you who cannot resist bringing politics into this day really need to check yourselves.
Take the day off from your demagoguery and just be an American for 24 hours, remembering how you felt on 9/11 toward your country and those that attacked her.
To use 9/11 as an excuse to promote your personal political agenda is disrespectful of those who died on that day. To turn this into your little political sandbox of hate, vitriol and non sense is unreal.
I will say it again – to use 9/11 as an excuse to promote your personal political agenda is disrespectful of those who died on that day. Think about that…
We will never forget the evil done that day and the people who perished on an ordinary working day, to do their tasks, have their dreams, think about what they were going to do that evening and relate to their friends and loved ones.
We will also never forget the sacrifices made that day by those brave finest to rescue those in need. The word is heroes.
May God bless them all.
A shameful act by the US government against its own citizens.
Damn that Barak Hussein Obama.
#24,
What is pathetic is that Obama would trivialize the day of 9-11 and call it a day of Service.
It is not a day of friggin service … IT IS A DAY OF REMEMBRANCE! IT IS A DAY OF NEVER FORGETTING!
It is hardly a community activism day of service. But what would one expect from a President who knowingly allowed a Truther to be a czar. That is a post for another day.
September 11, 2001 should and will be remembered for all times. As I have always said when it comes to 9-11.
DO NOT EVER FORGET and be very wearing of those who will try and make you try to.

I dont even thing obamanos is suited to work at the Carter family peanut plantation !!!
Obama is scum and doesn’t deserve even a faceful of good honest Cheney buckshot, unlike his Republican friends.
was working at Schiphol Airport.
me and lots off stranded US tourists and Airport staff were watching in horror and disbelieve.
respect to those who risked their lives to help others.
and I also agree with yoyo, politics should be left out.
