The purpose of a US government is to uphold the Constitution and protect it’s citizens. Does anyone care that cigar smoke was blown at a terror suspect in order to gain information to protect America? Are you joking!!! What, is blowing secondary cigar smoke at a dirt bag terrorist now the new “water boarding”? I guarantee you when the terrorists read this stuff, they wet themselves laughing.
The report says interrogators told al-Nashiri that if he didn’t talk, “we could get your mother in here. We can bring your family in here.”
Interrogators also reportedly told Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, that “if anything else happens in the United States, we’re going to kill your children.”
Unauthorized detainee interrogation methods also included, among other things, “the making of threats, blowing cigar smoke, employing certain stress positions, the use of a stiff brush on a detainee, and stepping on a detainee’s ankle shackles,” the report says.

I would not care if they took the cigar lighter and used it on their fingers or the cigar cutter … well use your imagination.
Terrorists are laughing at the softness of the resolve of this Administration.
Have we lost the fact that, THEY ARE TERRORISTS!!!
R
Have you lost the fact that WE ARE A BETTER PEOPLE THAN THEY ARE? That we have certain laws and standards of conduct that we live by? That we don’t stoop to using cigar cutters to do things that you won’t even type out here? What in the world is wrong with you? Our own expert interrogators have said that there are more trustworthy ways of gaining information than torture.
Follow-up to #2: And before you say it, no, I don’t have a problem with cigar smoke…
hilarious that the cratties would try to pawn this off as torture. they will grasp at anything. i’m sure the terrorists were very tortured by cigar smoke because it wasn’t their normal hashish
second hand smoke.
By now, We the People should be getting the
idea that what this ‘Administration’ is doing
is NOT what the Constitution requires, it is
whatever it wants to do. That is the trouble
with these fly-by-night fascists types. They
have their views of control and will impress
them on us if we don’t stand up. Once well
ensconced, it is near impossible to scrape
them and their shackling policies off of us.
It’s akin to being spit upon with our hands
tied behind our backs!
Regarding ‘enemy interrogation’, who wouldn’t
rather have smoke blown in the face over
rationing of critical life saving medical care?!
Blow the smoke up their *ss for all I care… like another poster said…THEY ARE TERRORISTS!
Oh My! Say it ain’t so, blowing smoke into the face of a terrorist to get answers. The horror. You’ve got to be kidding me! You think this is torture? Exactlly how are we supposed to make the terrorist talk? Invite them over for beer at the White House?
Hmmm…let’s see, beheadings or smoke blowing, which do you prefer?
Waterboarding or being burnt alive?
Why should we give a rats ass about the rights of terrorist?
No, I do not think we should stoop to their level but we have to do something to make them talk and they sure as hell ain’t gonna volunteer information out of the kindness of their hearts.
Don’t be ridiculous, we are talking about terrorists, not civilians.
Do you think they were thinking of the rights of the victims of 9/11 when the flew planes full of people into buildings full of people? or into the Pentagon? NO
The other thing that bugs the hell out of me—why is the current Administration wasting so much time (and more of the Taxpayers money) to continually investigate the CIA on interrogations/recognisence/investigations(spying) post 9/11 ?
You know what—certain things need to be done and this is nothing new—been happening since the early 1930′s! What the hell is the deal, here?? What about OUR rights as Americans and my government protecting our lives using “just about” whatever means necessary?
How soon they forget the loss of over 4,000 Americans on our soil? CIA has certainly had many screw ups in the past—but it’s about time they get some praise for one of the trickiest jobs they do—survelliance.
Enough is enough! I am sick of hearing about the probes and investigations—let’s dig even deeper into all of the QUESTIONABLE ties the Chosen One’s inside minions have come from–and more importantly, ACORN, etc. and how he bought the goodamn election in the first place. Just like Americans are finally speaking up and pissed off over health care reform—-they must ignite and attain some of the same vigor in regards to the Wolf in Sheep’s clothing they STUPIDLY elected as Commander in Thief!!!!!!!!!!!
ANewGirl: you can’t call yourselfs fighters for freedom and justice
and torture
and no, the cigar smoke isn’t torture, waterboarding, telling you will assualt the family (sexualy and otherwise) is.
and not all the arrested ones are terrorists, if they were they would not be free.
and at least ACORN didn’t kill US soldiers becuase of faulty work (Cheney’s Haliburton)
