There are already many laws that specifically go after such things as doctor shopping and prescription drug abuse.
Its just a matter of whether we want to enforce the laws that are on the books.
Let’s face it, many of the abuses are done by high-profile celebs who hide behind straw-men and anonymity of fake names.
I guess is some one is getting paid $100K to look the other way, it makes the risk-reward of prescription drug abuse a little easier. Presumably of course.
We also have to remember though, since we are referencing the Michael Jackson case, that he is just as guilty of the abuse as any doctor might be found of in the future. If there was no demand, there would be no supply.
