Democrats, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi & Steny Hoyer Attack Health Care Opponents As “UnAmerican” … UNREAL!!!
Since when as political dissent in America been un-American? Hey Nancy, I guess that whole “taxation without representation” protest over 200 years ago was un-American as well? Some one may want to send Pelosi’s and Hoyer’s editorial to the Obama snitch squad, email@example.com, looks like this bit of writing is rampant with health care lies.
Does Nancy Pelosi believe that it was un-American as well when Democrats and Liberals protest the war in Iraq or any other LEFT wing agenda? It is exactly the attitude of Pelosi and Hoyer that is creating the contentious atmosphere at Town Hall meetings across the country. These people think they are better than “We the People”. These people think they are more important than “We the People”.
What is un-American is purposely not listening to “We the People” and acting as if our voice does not matter. What is un-American is avoiding town hall meetings.
From USA Today … Nancy Pelosi shows why she is one of the most despised members of Congress … ‘Un-American’ attacks can’t derail health care debate’. No Speaker Pelosi, in the mean time Democratic members of Congress run from their constituents and do not want to participate in a debate where a majority of Americans are against Obamacare. The opt out of town hall meetings and do telephone one’s instead under the guise of security issues.
As stated by Flopping Aces, Democrats do not want to debate the health care issue, they want to ram it down Americas throat. Democrats have already made up their minds as healthcare is a government take over agenda, not intended to aid any perceived crisis.
In the meantime, as members of Congress spend time at home during August, they are talking with their constituents about reform. The dialogue between elected representatives and constituents is at the heart of our democracy and plays an integral role in assuring that the legislation we write reflects the genuine needs and concerns of the people we represent. However, it is now evident that an ugly campaign is underway not merely to misrepresent the health insurance reform legislation, but to disrupt public meetings and prevent members of Congress and constituents from conducting a civil dialogue. These tactics have included hanging in effigy one Democratic member of Congress in Maryland and protesters holding a sign displaying a tombstone with the name of another congressman in Texas, where protesters also shouted “Just say no!” drowning out those who wanted to hold a substantive discussion.
The Founding Bloggers dispell the Pelosi Hoyer lies.
