At Scared Monkeys we have long used the following movie quote whenever something so absurd and foolish is said. Biden’s recent comments on “spending money to keep from going bankrupt” is as fitting an ignorant phrase as ever. Here’s to you Joe Biden, or should we say Billy Madison Biden:
What you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. How did these people get elected? I would please ask the American voters to maybe actually pay attention during the 2010 and 2012 elections. Pretend like you are voting for American Idol or and it matters!

Joe Biden is the guy in Vegas who is losing his ass and is down and couple hundred grand and keeps doubling down and getting further in the hole. That’s fine if the guy is loaded and can AFFORD to keep doubling down. FACT is: WE, US, we don’t have any money to keep doubling down and this came from the head honcho himself, said it during the All-Star game…
They are dangerously close to bankrupting this country with cap and trade and health care reform. EVERYBODY KNOWS it!
Yup, our AEP electric bills are going up 19% and the CEO came on the news and said he was sorry since there was already an increase this year…BUT…the new cap and trade stuff is forcing this. There is no other options in order to be able to comply with the government’s new “green” laws. he also said to expect to see this everywhere electrical energy is used…which is everywhere.
Thanks Obama (not).

Face it. The guy campaigned on Hope & Change. The only hope we have is that we have any change left over after each paycheck. So much for transparency, the guy won’t even release his College transcripts, his birth certificate, his passport. We know nothing about this man that has been given command of our country to do with as he pleases. So far all he’s done is run up the debt even more. Spend, spend, spend, and tax, tax, tax. And yes everybody’s electric bill went up but it’s nothing compared to what it will be when/if this cap & trade goes through. Get ready for it. Hey Dolf..yeah, but THIS one is 100% directly related to the cap and trade bill. We already had our normal yearly increase like every year, not a 2nd one on top of it ever before and I’ve been in VA over 20 yrs.
No matter, our house has a contract on it after only 30 days on the mkt and we’re rebuilding on some land we own over a mile off the hardtop. We’ll be using wind/solar and will be completely off the freaking grid. Other than cell phones and internet (we won’t get cable), we will not have ANY public utility. Boy I cannot wait.
Also, we’re looking for a greenhouse for winter garden and the more self-dependent we are, the LESS dependent we’ll be on mommy government which is Obamanation’s intent…screw people who wish to live free and force them under a yoke of taxes and other burdens to ruin their lives.
I encourage anyone who can to get off the grid and become independent as you can while it’s still legal to do so!!!
