… father Joe Jackson’s parenting — especially with Michael — has long been a subject of scrutiny and controversy. So it’s all the more surprising that the driven patriarch is now working to forge a larger role for himself in the lives of Michael’s three children.
Surprising, why surprising? Joe “what’s in it for me” Jackson controlling and exploiting the children of his son Michael Jackson? How is this surprising? Reprehensible, yes; sick, yes; surprising, no!
Does anyone with a brain not think that exploitation of these kids is on the mind of Joe Jackson? Hell, he has already come out and said Michael Jackson’s Kids Could Be Performers. Isn’t it the celebrity, fame and all that came with it that killed Michael Jackson?
Actually the comment Joe meant to say was,“Yes there’s no one else who can do what ‘I’ can do ‘to’ them”.
In a partial interview released on ABC on Friday, taken from a longer interview to be aired July 14, Joe says that both he and estranged wife Katherine should take on permanent guardianship duties now that Michael has died. “Their grandmother Katherine and I should raise them,” Joe said, “Yes there’s no one else who can do what we can do for them”.
There is a reason why in his will that Michael Jackson requested that his mother Katherine be granted legal temporary guardianship of Prince Michael I, 12, Paris Michael Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II (also known as Blanket), 7. There is no mention anywhere of Joe’s name and for a reason.
If anyone cares for these kids maybe they should read the 2003 BBC article, ‘Singer Jackson whipped by father’. Joe Jackson denied beating Michael, but admits whipping him. LOL, its all in the abuse semantics I guess.
Michael Jackson’s father has told the BBC’s Louis Theroux he whipped his pop singer son as a child.
Joe Jackson is seen saying in a show to be seen on Sunday: “I whipped him with a switch and a belt. I never beat him. You beat someone with a stick.”
Michael Jackson has consistently accused his father of beating him as a child.

I am so agitated with catherine Jackson and the rest of jacksons sibling!
Because the will that Jackson left clearly specified that his three children be left to the catherine of catherine Jackson. No where in that will was Joe Jackson mentioned!.
Catherine Jackson told the courts that Joe Jackson lived in las vegas, she stated if I am right that she didnt know his physical adress???
Now he is trying to cash in by starting a business on his dead sons name. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND!!!
how catherine Jackson and the siblings can just stand by and watch him repeatedly making comments to the affect that!! he and catherine will raise those kids!!!
I do not think that this is a good idea and maybe because of his known history of abuse..catherine will loose her right to raise the two eldest children. I read in wikepedia how abusive Joe Jackson actualy was beyond what I had heard, told by his sons. Now how could they stand by and watch this happen?

I think this mess that Joe Jackson is creating, will give more power to Debbie Rowe to take those kids, so that they will not be in Joe Jacksons presence due to his abusive nature. If this happends Catherine will suffer dearly by loosing not only her son but her grandkids.
Michael Jackson would be rolling in his grave with news except the Jackson clan is still arguing over where that grave will be.
This group puts the “dys” in dysfunctional family and it all goes right back to Daddy Joe.
I pray for those children and that someone will be able to continue to protect them from the predators in this world, including their own grandfather.
I am not saying that MJ was father of the year, but he should have considered what his kids fate would be if he died.
Sadly Michael Jackson should have thought about his children when he led the life that he did and consumed the amount of prescription drugs he did.
Instead of worrying about where his next med came from, he should have tried to clean up his act and think of his children.
With the choice he had as to who would care for them if he died, he should have considered living forever.

true very true! he should have known that he was at risk with the amount of drugs he was consuming. He had to have felt something you would think.
It realy blew me away that he left his affairs in such a mess.
Why though isnt catherine Jackson standing up to her money power lusting husband!! she didnt defend michael when he was little hell whats to keep her from protecting michaels children. He must be turning in his grave! wherever that maybe or his ashes rumbling in an urn !! at the thought of Joe raising his kids!!
Why is Joe Jackson not behind bars? This man should be locked away for life. He does not need to be anywhere near those children.
You would have to understand black culture during that era to know what a whipping is. It was not considered abuse at that time when paddling was legal in schools. Lots of black kids got whippings with a switch or a belt, that’s not strange. It just really affected Michael while his brothers appear to have not seen it as a big issue as Marlon who was whipped the most even jokes abut it now.
Michael had a sensitive soul that wasn’t conducive for the methods of discipline acceptable in the 50s and 60s in black families. Anyway he forgave his dad and moved past it. The tabloids keep briging it up to cause the Jacksons more grief. Don’t buy into it
