It’s a sad reminder that not even our friends to the north are immune to these heinous crimes against children. It is a missing persons case that has gripped Canada. 8 year old Victoria “Tori” Stafford was abducted on April 8, 2009 in Ontario, Canada when she was seen on a surveillance video leaving the Oliver Stephens Public School with an unknown woman. Tori Stafford had not been seen or heard from since.

The search for missing Tori Stafford has appeared to has ended with sadness. Canadian police have now arrested two people in connection with the abduction, kidnapping and murder of an 8 year Tori Stafford. Police have arrested 28 year old Michael C.S. Rafferty and charged him with first degree murder and abduction and 18 year old Terri Lynn McClintic was charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder and abduction.

Police believe Victoria was abducted for “sexual purposes.”
The suspects in custody are a man and woman but they are not the girl’s parents, However, police say they are known to Victoria’s family. Police believe Victoria was abducted for “sexual purposes” which has left investigators and the community in shock. Police believe that while the suspects may have known Victoria’s parents they do not believe that they knew who their daughter was at the time of the kidnapping.

Bundling together laundry to use his neighbour’s washing machine as an excuse, he’d even gone through the next-door house, looking for evidence of the 8-year-old girl’s presence, but found nothing. “Of course not!” Terri-Lynne McClintic retorted hotly.

The police said that they do not anticipate making any further arrests. The two suspects remain in jail after their arraignment on murder and kidnapping charges. It is unclear what the relationship is between the two accused. However, Police said on Wednesday that Ms. McClintock “may be familiar with” Tori’s mother Tara McDonald. Dear God what is happening to make such MONSTERS that do these things!!
Should these two be responsible May they both rot .
I just can’t find it anywhere in my soul to be a forgiver of this type of crime or any for that matter against children.
My hat’s off to Canada for solving this case and getting these two monsters off the street before they go after another victim. Amazing that the mother knew it was her neighbors, the whole time, and was brave enough to ask them straight up! Sad when you think about how vulnerable we are when it comes to this type of crime and how, painfully, overwhelming it must be to lose such a beautiful, happy child at no fault of your own.
My heartfelt prayers go out to the family of Tori and while we are powerless in bringing her back, we can rest assured that He will. Lock them up and look for redemption, for it has been given in an act of love. All things are possible through Him. Look forward in trust and faith that, soon, the wicked ones will perish and there will be life again.
Just a little while longer and the wicked one will be no more.

There are 2 McDonalds in this sad story: Jessica McDonald is the girlfriend of Craig Racine; Tara McDonald is the ex wife of Rodney Stafford. Tara and Rodney are Torie’s parents.
This may have been addressed , but what was it that caused the parents of tori to suspect their neighbors?

Its quite obvious that the suspects in custody are not the culprits who really did this. The mother of this little girl was involved in a relationship with a man who was a possible pedophile, although he was found innocent. Its time to arrest the real culprits. And stop hiding behind a false arrest. Woodstock Police and the Oxford Community Police and the OPP need to be held accountable stop trying to save face and give Justice to this little girl!!!

For over a year I have sat back and read plenty of information and heard plenty as well about this case, and can sit back no longer, I feel the need to speak out. After perusing the comments on this sight and many many other sights with regards to the unfortunate and unnecessary death of an innocent child, I can’t help but say how ‘ignorant’ the general public are. Firstly, how anyone got that the parents were neighbours of the suspects is beyond me …. one should learn to read and possibly re-read if they don’t know how to interpret get an intrepreter that knows how to read and analyse a sentence or paragraph. Secondly, when individuals post a comment, maybe they should consider the fact that a family member will and could see what has been posted. Hence the 10th posting … the brother of Tori and the son of Tara and Rodney. These people have suffered enough without people making any more allegations than that which have been tossed around from the onset. Most of all, Daryn deserves respect. He shouldn’t have to come on to a sight and read nonsense, something that the likes of Lexi felt the need to post. Thirdly, Lexi, maybe you should be on the forces, then you can judge who should be held accountable for any actions. Personally, I believe the law enforcement teams have done what can humanly be possibly done. How would you feel if you were wrongfully accused, cuffed, imprisoned for something you didn’t do? Maybe they should come and take you away because thats the sense you are making to me. Think about what you post and for those that can’t read or interpret …. they do have English as a first or second language, usually free of charge at your local schools.
