Never Judge a Book by it’s Cover … Brit Susan Boyle Wows them All with I Dream the Dream from Les Miserables
If you you have not been a part of the over 30 million You Tube viewers, this is a must see and listen. DO NOT EVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT’S COVER … EVER.
The meteoric rise, helped by over 30 million You Tube views of singing sensation Susan Boyle on Britains Got Talent is a perfect example of never judge a book by it’s cover. No, this is not a perfect example … it’s the absolute reason!
NEVER GIVE UP THE DREAM
Click on the pic to hear why you never judge a book by it’s cover
47 year old Susan Boyle proved all the people who prejudged and the cynical doubters wrong. She was asked what her dream was. Her answer, to be a professional singer. Simon Cowell then asks why hadn’t it worked out for you? Susan’s answer, she had never been given the chance. The audience and the judges all pre-judges this woman … until she opened her mouth.
Everyone laughed at her when she said she wanted to be like Elaine Page, The First Lady of British Musical Theatre. Check out Elaine Paige’s version of I Dream a Dream live Theatre Royal Drury Lane London 08/03/2009. Tell us what version you like. Damn, I think I may have to go with Susan Boyle.
Judge Amanda Holden stated the following, “I am so thrilled because I know that everybody was against you. I honesty think that we were all being very cynical. That was a complete wake up call”.

This is my favorite news story in a long time. Susan Boyle is inspiring and wonderful!
This made me cry when I watched it.. What a beautiful voice she has..what a story.. I too hope she wins..
I was never a big reality show fan.. Watched American Idol a few times..now and then..like Chris Daughtry and was sad he lost..like David Cook and glad he won..for the first time ever this year I have been watching American Idol every week and love Adam Lambert on the show.. He has an unbelievable voice,, pretty sure he will win it all.
I cried as well, because this lady is proof that it’s never too late to live your dream. You only need a chance. What a beautiful woman she is, inside and out. I hope she has a lifetime of success and blessings.

I did the same. Even, I, was thinking it might be a joke after the camera cruised the judges faces. Her voice is like an angel. True, genuine talent. Maybe they were right all the time, beauty is only skin deep?
Nah…
J/K
But, I’ll bet if she said stuff like,
‘I think prostitution should be legalized’,
like Geraldo did. We’d look at her in a
different light.

Welcome to Scared Monkeys!
I saw her Performance and I cried. I was overcome by the beauty of her voice. Her voice is of a angel. I hope that SHE is not taken advantage of by the corporation. She does not need to be in this Contest at all. She has already proven she is ” AWE” with that one performance.
She is amazing ! Bravo Bravo !
One more thing – I rather look at Susan Boyle any day and listen to her Voice…that watching a 18 yr old 1/2 dressed with a digital created voice .. and No musical talent what so ever. gAh!
We Need Susan Boyle in these times. She is Real.
What in the world does one have to do with the other, HOPE?
Deenie,
I would agree 100%. I am so tired of contrived singers just because they happen to look nice.
Reminds me of the old Brady Bunch episode when they made Greg, Johnny Bravo. The reason was because the jacket fit.
Her voice is amazing. Anyone who wants to say otherwise needs to put the pipe down. She is refreshing.
My God, who knew Margaret Thacher could sing!!!
The look on the audience and judges faces were priceless.

She is just a “breath of fresh air” in this contest!!!
Les Miserables is my favorite musical of all times followed by Phantom of the Opera a close second.
Hearing Susan Boyle brought me right back to Broadway when I saw it last.
Fantastic.

I am guessing your comment was left for me –
Sorry that your mind cannot escape the BOX you live in .. that because I state Susan Boyle is Real .. that you make such comments.
Can you not just Enjoy her for what she is ” Real”.
This lady rocks! Simple as that.
She’s got the goods, and she knows when it
is time to be makin’ up them doughnuts.
What America needs right now…England is taking the lead for now with Susan Boyle, truly a gift from above.
respect2her
Red…we are on the same wavelength but I put Phantom above just a hair!!!Could be because I had a front seat at Kennedy Ctr. when I saw it..lol
isn’t it beautifull that music can bring us all together (if only for 5 minutes)
Scared Monkeys and BUN – those are my 2 favorite musicals too! And Susan sang so beautifully. I sitll cry when I watch the vid. I want her to sing for the queen!
Great voice and rendition of Cry me a River…
I would buy her CD…
Not at all, Deenie, my reply was meant for HOPE, who stated: “But, I’ll bet if she said stuff like,
‘I think prostitution should be legalized’,
like Geraldo did. We’d look at her in a
different light.”
Sorry if I offended you, Deenie.
Welcome to Scared Monkeys!
Sorry, my quote should have included the “Welcome to Scared Monkeys” part, too. I’m not very good at this.
But I do not live in a box at all. I believe there is beauty to be found in all sorts of people and places. I don’t think you read the last word of my post, ‘HOPE’. (comment #6)
One more thing, and I’ll leave this alone. Deenie, please read my original comment, #4.
