SNL, Barack Obama just threw you a softball. It is now your job to hit it out of the park. Barack Obama holds a presser to discuss Somoli pirates and captain Richard Phillips’ heroic rescue. In the process Obama talks about his war on privacy. In perfect like Emily Litella fashion, ala the late Gilda Ratner, Barack Obama would say, “Oh, never mind.”
All that was needed was Jane Curtain to raise his hand from the gallery and say, Mr. President… it’s piracy, piracy, not privacy.
Looks like Brack Obama has an Emily Litella foreign policy.
However, Barack Obama did call Captain Richard Phillips brave and a hero. Something that the LEFT seems to dispute.

With word this morning that O’s administration is going after Mommy blogs that promote products they receive for free – perhaps this wasn’t a mis-speak at all.
I notice that the MSM is quietly changing the quote to the word O supposedly meant instead of at least adding a “sic” or other explanation.
Now we all know what the reporting would have looked like if Bush had mispronounced or said the wrong word.
I’m losing count of the gaffs and fumbles. The man is a complete buffoon!
What…no teleprompter was available? Also, like I really give a rat’s a** what kind of dog the Obama’s picked for the White House…please?!?!? This is headline news? No offense, Bo— I do love Animals but perhaps the Big O should concentrate on running the Country first and foremost and finish picking the rest of his Cabinet.

This, in my opinion, is the major problem facing the US today – a lack of respect for authority. We sat through 8 years of ridicule aimed at George Bush, and now we’re looking at the same sort of behavior from “the other side” for the next 4 – 8. “Stupid!” “Buffoon!” Every word and every decision to be parsed and greeted with ridicule and hostility by the folks at Scared Monkeys and a thousand other sites around the ‘net and over the airwaves. The problem here is the trickle-down effect. I work with juvenile delinquents (“youthful offenders” for the PC crowd), and guess what the common denominator is – that’s right, a lack of respect for authority… They hear it belted out every day from Limbaugh and Olbermann and dozens of other self-important blowhards. They see it everywhere they turn on the Internet. Pretty disheartening as far as I’m concerned.
Elmer, don’t feel bad, I am slowly starting to not even recognize the country I grew up in..and thought I knew so well. Everyone in washington pointing fingers at each other what has happened, truth is,,most of them have been in place for years and are a part of what happened by taking money and allowing all of this to go on..now we, who had nothing to do with it are getting laid off, asked to pay trillions, big bonuses and pay offs to people walking from companies who let them fail,while congress was receiving money from them, they do something wrong, they keep their jobs and keep on working..Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and Charlie Rangel, all the recipients of money from these places.. like Kerry, Obama, Clinton ..How can they go in a company and fire someone and leave others who ruined banks in place and hand them big bucks.It’s all a little too crazy for me now..and I don’t recognize this country right now.. not that I don’t love it, but the ones in power have led us down a dark tunnel too long now.

You have a right to express yourself, just as anyone else here, but I’m a lot less worried about those juvenile delinquents than those adults who are raping and robbing our country.

Elmer: Where were you when Bush as being ridiculed for his pronunciation? This time around, the public is being sold on the line of how “intelligent” the TOTUS is – and of course when you use that as a marketing tool and you fail – people are bound to make fun.
Though, it’s true. O’s fumbles are far less worrisome than his actual policies and spending like a drunken pirate. Now get out there and go to a tea party tomorrow. Give the DHS something to write about other than sheer war mongering and gossip.
