WOW, it’s about time someone held Obama’s feet to the fire and stopped making excuses for him. During the 60 Minutes interview Steve Kroft asked President Barack Obama is he was “punch-drunk”. Just to set the record straight, Kroft is pro-Obama reporter.

His remarks came in a“60 Minutes” interview in which he was pressed by Steve Kroft for laughing and chuckling several times while discussing the perilous state of the world’s economy.
“You’re sitting here. And you’re— you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, ‘I mean, he’s sitting there just making jokes about money—’ How do you deal with— I mean: explain. . .” Kroft asked at one point.
“Are you punch-drunk?” Kroft said.
It has become obvious that Obama does not get the magnitude of his job or the fact that his words have great repercussions. One needs to look no further than his flip comment in an attempt to get a laugh at the expense of millions of Special Olympians.
Blue Crab Boulevard may be on to something with their psychiatric diagnosis of “inappropriate affect”. One thing is for certain and we have said it long before Obama was elected President, Barack Obama is in over his head and was never ready for the Prime Time focus of the duties of the White House. Experience does matter and “We the People” are getting a lesson in just how important it is. Barack Obama has been allowed to laugh off situations in the past; the complicit media has defended and refused to ask tough questions and voters believed in the “words” and rhetoric of candidate Obama rather than his qualifications. The result … inappropriate laughter during a serious situation.
There are two possibilities here. Either Obama is intentionally, malignantly causing a meltdown in the economy or he is completely – and I mean completely – clueless about how his words and actions impact the economy.
STEVE KROFT: You’re sitting here. And you’re– you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, “I mean, he’s sitting there just making jokes about (LAUGHTER) money–” How do you deal with– I mean, wh– explain -
PRESIDENT OBAMA: Well–
STEVE KROFT: –the mood and your laughter.
PRESIDENT OBAMA:Yeah, I mean, there’s got to be–
STEVE KROFT: Are you punch drunk?
PRESIDENT OBAMA: No, no. There’s gotta be a little gallows humor to (LAUGHS) get you through the day. [authors note: um, gallows humor???] You know, sometimes my team– talks about the fact that if– if you had said to us a year ago that– the least of my problems would be Iraq, which is still a pretty serious problem– I don’t think anybody would have believed it. But– but we’ve got a lot on our plate. And– a lot of difficult decisions that we’re going to have to make.

Hot Air is 100% correct when they say that the Barack Obama who vowed to unite the country around common values is MIA. The American public is getting a reality lesson from the most liberal and radical President to ever reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. They were had.

Our ‘media’, oh boy are they misnamed! Probing-not,
reporting-not, doing due diligence-not, following the
lines of least resistance-yup, printing spin-yup. Few
have the intestines to do their job and appear as lazy
lap dogs with an agenda. Do not they realize their

Giggling on 60 Minutes, making appearances on Late night comedy shows and showing his ignorance by making fun of disabled is hardly presidential.

Anyone else notice the past 3 democratic choices in the Presidential elections are all disposables? I mean, Al Gore, John Kerry, and Obamanation….what do any of them have to offer as a leader of the free world?
All three were basically unknowns until “choses” for the platform of presidential candidate. Why? It’s nothing to do with the candidate other than who they can put in “power” in order to be able to rule from BEHIND the figure in the oval office.
Make no mistake, Obama has not and will not make a single decision for this country. Those decisions were made by those with $$$ in this country and abroad to further their agenda. NO WAY would the communist left (incorrectly called the liberal left) allow anyone to gain the presidency as a Democrat who was possibly capable of making a good decision, or a decision against the machine.
Obama was and is and will always be nothing more than the empty-suited front man for the ugliest thing our confused nation could have ever put in the White House. (Could it be the teleprompter was telling him to laugh?)
It’s all funny to the O because “he won”. I believe O knows exactly where this is all going and is laughing his head off because he’s fooled so many people.
This guy thinks this is a laughing matter. How is it he finds time to make these appearances, throw parties every Wednesday, bowls and God knows what else when we are in financial crisis? He is not taking this job seriously, it’s all a big joke to him. WAKE UP MR. PRESIDENT this isn’t a fairy tale, this is serious business.
This is the same childish trick he has been using since I have known of senator Obama. Whenever he is cornered, he uses this laughing bit to try and make the person feel that they asked a stupid question.

We hate to say “I told you so” (OK, actually we’re lovin’ it), but when you elect a guy with no executive experience, no real-life economic experience, and who’s judgment is so impaired that he spent 20 years in a racist, anti-Semitic church–what the heck did you expect?

obamassiah is still nothing more than an empty suit quoted the “sound bytes” of the extreme left and his knowledge of most subjects go no deeper than these sound bytes. his “teleprompter to the left of me, teleprompter to the right of me, typed copy on the podium itself, and he still can’t get it right. all they accomplish is to give the obamedia all the imperious profile shots and i notice that in all his speeches and conversations are recorded in such a way to emphasize and deepen his voice. in some of them, he sounds like he’s in a barrel.

we as a nation is in big trouble with a president that makes fun of our problems and laugh it off like that. he is in over his head this is obvious. he was voted in in my opinion because of his race not his experience and that is wrong to vote for anyone. he bought and sold out great nation. he needs to step down for the good of our country. he is not what this nation needs at this time. he is bringing this country down and has done great damage in the short time he has been in office. i can just imgaine what it will be like by the time his term is over. he is a smooth talker and will talk his way out of this as he has done plenty of times before

Time for America to start weighing the line of succession
if (and when) Barry is enticed to step down. Of course there
is NO collusion amongst or behind the crowd in the current
administration, but, we as Employers of these folks need to
formulate a plan for how to reclaim our Country. Purging
Socialist-Minded wannabes is the first step. Finding and
preparing Statesmen/women willing to do the job according
to our Constitution is a prerequisite to that purge.

No, he is not punch-drunk. he is giddy at the thought of social change. It is no secret academics and those involved with community organization want to create social equality not by raising everyone higher, but by bringing down the wealthy. For many of them, they have a chip on their shoulder. They view wealth as evil–and this includes anyone making comfortable in the eyes of the poorest. They think by bringing down the rich, they will even the playing field so all can get ahead. The problem is, the top 3% of wealth earners shoulder 90% of the taxes (depending on the state/city) so by destroying them you destroy the economy. At that point everyone is equal and must rely upon the government. It’s one way to bring about social equality and change. While everyone will be provided for, freedom to choose is gone and the freedom to learn from the consequences of your mistakes to make your self better is also removed. For this reason socialism never produces great nations because the fact is pain and discomfort is really weakness leaving the body or society.

Or, Yes, if punch drunk means you have been hit more than you can rationally take so you laugh as your last-resort defense mechanism. This is a man that is in over his head. Remember, Obama has never run a business, has no prior executive experience, spent most of his life in academia and then as a community organizer where the prevailing philosophy is business has destroyed the life of those in poverty. I read every comment on this subject, and there isn’t one that I disagree with. I’ve been feeling hopeless in our country, but you all make me realize that the fight is not over. As long as there are people like you in this country, justice will prevail. It may take time, but we will unite for our country, and this crap will stop.
