Former first lady, 83 year old Barbara Bush had successful heart surgery at 
Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX today. It is being reported that Barbara Bush, former first lady to George H.W. Bush. Barbara is described as “alert and funny.”
Jill Becker, chief of staff for former President George H.W. Bush, said that Barbara Bush, 83, was “fine” following the surgery.
“In fact, she is awake,” Becker said.
“We, of course, naively wanted to keep it quiet — Mrs. Bush did,” Becker said Wednesday night. “She thought there was too much fuss the last time.”
The 2 1/2 hour surgery was a precautionary step to replacing her aortic valve with a biologic valve after doctors found hardening on one part of her aorta last week.

Babs just couldn’t be bothered with hearing about the human toll that a war instituted by her son was going to bring.
So if I’m evil, I guess I’m right up there with Babs.
And here’s your beloved Babs, who never hurt anyone, on the fate of displaced Hurricane Katrina victims, you know the people who had to live in the Astrodome for weeks after having almost died in New Orleans:

And for those who still suffer the delusion that wonderful Babs never hurt anyone, then you have never read a biography that describes her cold, distant manner (she played tennis within 24 hours of her daughter’s funeral ) in which she raised all her children, thus inflicting on the world at least two alleged leaders whose callousness and callow beings could not give a crap about the lives and deaths of ordinary citizens.
I’ll care about Babs getting her chest cracked open when she and her brain disabled sons apologize for ruining the country and the State of Florida. And it has nothing to do with right and left politics, it has everything to do with recognizing an evil person and not pretending otherwise.

Ignorance because you did not recognize the “beautiful mind” quote in relation to Barbara Bush which most on the left do because it was just so egregious on her part.
And since you added the last quote, there is not and never has been just two sides to America. My dad and I are both Democrats and we fight like crazy over proposals that differing Democrats put out. The same could be said of the right with Repubs ranging from Ron Paul (No immperialism no spending ) to Thad Cochran (Give me that good ol American Empire with a side of pork barrel spending please.) It is an absolute myth that there is a left and a right, a red and blue to this country. I think the electoral map shows a trend toward purple actually, with voters picking and choosing what they prefer from each side. I met more than a few die hard Repubs this past time who early on committed to vote for Barack because of where George Bush led their party and the country.
And the alleged two sides do not hate each other or have you missed the Orrin Hatch/Ted Kennedy love fests and the McCain/Feingold engagements? (or the Barack/Tom Coburn infatuation if you will)
My comment on Babs had nothing to do with left/ right, red /blue politics. It was a recognition that Babs is not a person, because of her past display of indifference and ill will towards others, worthy of care or concern by anyone except maybe those who have to cause they’re related to her.

I am quite comfortable knowing where my soul is and knowing Babs has none. Jesus himself gave us lessons on who would get into the kingdom of heaven and who would not and I can assure you Babs of Ohio/New Haven/Kennebunkport/Dallas with her wealth and cruelty will not.

Never was a big fan of Barbara bush’s until I read her first book.. Great sense of humor..She lost a daughter, Robin, to leukemia when she was a child. Had a lot of funny stories in it. George Bush has led a great life.. They got their wealth the old fashioned way, they worked for it. They do much for charity too.. George still travels with Clinton to raise money for causes..They did one for Galveston , when it was hit by a hurricane last year.

He stated that unnecessary procedures would be done away with to save costs. We have seen this same BS before when HMO’s first came on the scene and insurance company execs, not drs, were making decisions as to who go what health care. We all know how well that went.
Now Obama will be making the decision whether your 97 year old grandmother should have heart surgery. I know that instills confidence in me.

When Ted Kennedy became sick, we wished his well. We did the same in the past with Clinton. We would do the same if Obama became ill.
