Everyone serve a purpose in life. However, some people’s purpose is to be used as a bad example. A southwestern Ohio police chief shot himself in the thigh while teaching his daughter gun safety. Oops! Talk about a perfect live and in color example of what not to do. Irony, a police officer shooting one’s self while teaching gun safety. The police chief was from southwest OH; however, this story sound more like a Southwest Air commercial … Wanna get away.

Police in southwestern Ohio say a police chief mistakenly shot himself in the thigh after giving his daughter a gun safety lesson.
A police report says 54-year-old Middletown police Chief Greg Schwarber was preparing to clean his Glock .45-caliber pistol on Friday and didn’t realize the gun was still loaded.
The report written by officers from neighboring Monroe says the bullet entered Schwarber’s leg just above the knee.
When officers arrived, they found the chief lying on the floor with a towel covering his leg. Schwarber was taken to a hospital for treatment.

What a dunce!
Someone take his ammo away. They should give him one bullet and make him carry it in his shirt pocket. Bet he catch hell from some of the cops.
I’m so glad no one got hurt. I now this was just an unexpected accident. I hope he doesnt lose his job.
ok i don’t see how this could happed maybe if it was some hillbilly somewhere but a cop come on he should know to cheak and see if the gun is loaded that should have been the first thing he did
it is even more important to cheak the gun first when teaching gun safty
