Kathryn Casey and Andrea Moore Emmett gave some intelligent and shocking information and perspectives on polygamy. Oprah had a wife from a polygamist marriage on this morning who talked like this was normal. I didn’t watch much of it. Sounds as if our politicians and legal system need to do their homework.
I just bought a couple of books for summer reading, but “Singularity” sounds like something I’d enjoy so I made a note for my next trip to the bookstore.
It’s so easy for us to second guess people like Jane, saying “I’d never put up with it” or why did someone put up with it. Until you’ve lived it, you can’t possibly know what you would have done, yet we become self-righteous and judgmental, even if we’re NOT blaming the victim. Vaya con Dios, Jane.
Scott Michaels and findadeath.com: interesting stuff and the tours aren’t just a Hollywood thing, we have an “Untouchables” tour in Chicago showing all the Al Capone era locations.
