Nation of Islam Leader Minister Louis Farrakhan Praises (Endorses) Barack Obama … Maybe time to Take a Closer Look at the Candidate
Here is one endorsement I am sure Barack Obama may be cringing at and especially with it’s timing. With praise and an endorsement like this … Its time to reevaluate.
With Barack Obama on a Democratic primary win streak over Hillary Clinton many have suggested that it would take a miracle to change the tide. The following endorsement without saying it was an endorsement, may just be that event that caused the change in momentum. It certainly needs to be looked at and pondered by the idealistic people who support Obama. On Sunday, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan endorsed and sang the praises of Obama comparing him to Nation of Islam’s religion founder, Fard Muhammad.
CHICAGO – In his first major public address since a cancer crisis, Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday that presidential candidate Barack Obama is the “hope of the entire world” that the U.S. will change for the better.
Farrakhan compared Obama to the religion’s founder, Fard Muhammad, who also had a white mother and black father.
“A black man with a white mother became a savior to us,” he told the crowd of mostly followers. “A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall.”
As the Astute Blogger commented, “If this doesn’t scare you, nothing will”. No kidding.
The Obama camp is already trying to do damage control over the Farrakhan endorsement. Maybe the media and naive “hope & change” voters may want to take a better look at the candidate and those who are supporting Barack Obama. First Michelle Obama’s comments about not being proud of America, then the a look into her thought process and her senior thesis and now a Nataion of Islam praise. Think Team Obama is not a little concerned?
Said Obama campaign spokesman Bill Burton: “Sen. Obama has been clear in his objections to Minister Farrakhan’s past pronouncements and has not solicited the minister’s support.”

Natalee Holloway Missing in Aruba: John Q. Kelly on Geraldo at Large (2/24/08) … “I think they could arrest Joran Van der Sloot and prosecute him on a circumstantial case
John Q Kelly … Joran Van der Sloot has something to hide.
“… but one of them has to be true because we’ve never found her and you don’t dispose of a body, you don’t help in locating the person when you’re the last one with her unless you have something to hide. I think he was fearful that an autopsy if she was found would show there was something in her system.”
Geraldo At Large: February 24, 2008, Guest: John Q. Kelly (read the transcript)
Geraldo: John, first of all you’ve got the Joran Van der Sloot situation. He confesses on tape, how strong is the case against him?
John Q. Kelly: I think they have a very strong case Geraldo.
He goes to Carlos & Charlie’s a half hour before closing. He buys Natalee a drink, he takes it from the bartender, he walks over to her hands her the drink, stands there, she finishes the drink. Within 20 minutes she’s incoherent, she’s lapsing in and out of consciousness.

Ralph Nader Starts Independent Presidential Bid … So Much for that Slam Dunk Democratic Presidential Victory in 2008
The Democrats are not happy campers after hearing this news …
Look out Democrats, your presumed cake walk to the office of the Presidency of the United States just had a monkey wrench thrown into the works. Its official, Ralph Nader is launching a 3rd party independent campaign for the 2008 presidential election.
Nader’s run may just pull away enough of the liberal, democratic vote to cost the Democratic nominee the election as he has done in the past. Especially, if Hillary Clinton is the nominee. Blue Crab Boulevard calls it “Deja Vu All Over Again” as Nader will syphon off the liberal vote. It would appear as Red State noticed as well that those in the liberal media are miffed at Nader that he may swing the election to McCain.
The consumer advocate made the announcement Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” He says most Americans are disenchanted with the Democratic and Republican parties, and that none of the presidential contenders are addressing ways to stem corporate crime and Pentagon waste and promote labor rights.
Last month, Nader began an exploratory presidential campaign and launched a Web site that promises to fight “corporate greed, corporate power, corporate control.” (MSNBC)
Ralph Nader starts presidential bid
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama Criticize and Down Play Nader’s run.
Maybe Hillary Clinton needs a refresher course in political history as to why her husband Bill Clinton defeated Bush 41. I am sure it had nothing to do with the 3rd party candidacy of Ross Perot. Turn about is fair play. This is still the United States and anyone should have the opportunity to run as a 3rd party candidate. Maybe if it occurred more often, the two political parties would be more concerned about their constituents.
Asked about the possible impact, Obama and Clinton both downplayed it while also criticizing Nader.
“Mr. Nader is somebody who if [you] don’t listen and adopt all of his policies, [he] thinks you’re not substantive. He seems to have a pretty high opinion of his own work,” Obama said. “Historically, he is a singular figure in American politics and has done as much as just about anybody on behalf of consumers, so in many ways, he is a heroic figure and I don’t mean to diminish him, but I do think there’s a sense now that, you know, if somebody’s not hewing to the Ralph Nader agenda then you must be lacking in some way.”
Clinton was also less than enthusiastic.
Ralph Nader’s comments from “Meet the Press” can be read HERE.
MR. NADER: Let me put it in context, to make it a little more palatable to people who have closed minds. Twenty-four percent of the American people are satisfied with the state of the country, according to Gallup. That’s about the lowest ranking ever. Sixty-one percent think both major parties are failing. And, according to Frank Luntz’s poll, a Republican, 80 percent would consider voting for a independent this year.

A special thank you from those at Scared Monkeys to the Monkeys who braved the snow, cold and elements in traveling to the Boston Travel Show to boycott Aruba and remind Aruba and others that this is about … Justice for Natalee. Rest assured … any time that Aruba is your sponsor at a trade show, Scared Monkeys will be there to provide the truth to unsuspecting people.

Scared Monkeys and those that care about the safety of travelers to Aruba and providing justice to those who have crimes committed against them will always be present and speak the truth. The following is from the Aruban tourism web page. That in red italics is closer to the truth interpretation.
Bonbini!
It means welcome. And here, you truly are. (It means enter at your own risk. And here, if you have a crime committed against you, Aruba is certain to cover it up and provide you with no justice.)
You’re welcome to dream. (You are welcome to spend your hard earned money.) Of endless sun and scenery. (Of actually leaving Aruba alive in the same manner you entered it). Of breathtaking blues and crystal clear ocean and white, sandy beaches. (Of having your body disposed of at sea or left on the beach at the Fisherman’s Huts). You’re welcome to plan the ideal family vacation or wedding or honeymoon or meeting or simple escape to a colorful world away from home. (If you are foolish enough to spend your hard earned money of a vacation in Aruba, we are certain to promise you the world and say no problem only to do nothing for you if “anything bad happens.”) You’re welcome to explore. (Take your own chances.) To make everything that’s ours yours. To find the perfect something, or nothing, to do. (Buyer beware … you to can have “Some thing bad happen”.)

UPDATE I: Comments from Monkeys at Boston Trade Show
It would appear that some of the Boston Police did not like the fact that Scared Monkeys was attending the Boston Travel Show and using their 1st Amendment Rights. However, thank you to the Boston Port Authority Police for their fine work.

The expression on Rob Smith’s face (blue shirt and jacket in video) and the nervous look he has is priceless. Hey Rob, how’s it feel to spend all that money on marketing of Aruban tourism for nothing?
