Please read this carefully word by word.
IMHO something is not right here!!!!!!!!

To me it would sound like they have a piece of the blouse that Natalee worn the night she disappeared so they could compare it to the sample from the crab cage.
Maybe I’m wrong. It just does not sound right.

I agree it doesn’t make sense . What if Joran wrapped something around her before dumping her?
What if it is something he or dad had on and dumped with her body. Were there other things at the site. Was this the missing crab pot from the fishermans hut. They need to say what it was, not just that it was not a match to her blouse.
It may be another missing female !!!
Maybe one of Jorans victims before Natalie!!

I would think that the FBI has textile experts, and that they could find out from Beth where the dress was bought, etc., and track down a copy from there.

I wonder if Art Wood was advised of this?

But as NCTripp says … what WAS found in the cage? I’m assuming that this is the cage that Tim Miller was all worked up about on Christmas Eve. Why would there be fabric in it at all?

In his ‘confession,’ as I recall, Joran didn’t mention anything about a crab cage … he seemed to say that they just took the body out in the water and dumped it overboard. Maybe they brought a weight of some kind along with them … or a tarpaulin or something similar that would get weighted down with the water.

Assuming, of course, that his ‘confession’ is true.

And if her body had been in that cage, I would think that the skeleton, at least, would still be there.

I’m wondering if Art Wood put two and two together too quickly … perhaps, in his three months down there, he heard that a crab cage was missing and jumped to the assumption that it had to do with Natalee.

And, of course, this could be a wholly different missing crab cage!

Exactly: It is in the wording that bothers me—
“They said from the blouse that Natalee wore the night she disappeared.”
There are thirty three reasons why this could not happen and therefore I do not believe the reasoning used in the report:
The material has been exposed to salt water for 33 months.
The blouse that Natalee wore was purchased 33 months or more ago.
The sample blouse would have had to be from the same manufacturing run as Natalee’s original which was last run 33 months or more ago.
For me to believe what the FBI released I would have to read the chemical and spectro analysis that they used. Something other than the pictures of Natalee shows she wore a teal halter top with white hearts as compared to this material that has been bleached by salt water for 33 months. BTW how large was this sample?
I moved from NJ to MO with anything pertaining to NAH. It is now “SHOW ME”

I don’t doubt the material is not the same but it is how they arrived at the conclusion is what bothers me. “They said from the blouse that Natalee wore the night she disappeared. To me that is an oops like “we did this twenty times before and nothing ever happened”
Where did the sample come from? we know one was from the ocean, the other from???????????/

we’re all in agreement, something is very wrong with this picture…….first of all aruban divers, aruban procesecutors office, did not match shirt she wore at the time she disappeared,so on and so on. does that mean they have in eveidence the shirt she wore the night she disappeared? if so, was that REALLY the shirt in the picture where they were digging on the beach? the aruban authorities said it was a fish net, yes possibly, but the shirt could have been caught up in the fish net and they only said it was a fish net to throw the family off. frustrating. too many what if’s and far too many unanswered questions. heartbreaking. keep praying. god is listening.
