the reason the kalpoe brothers were cleaning their car was because there was blood in it, but it was from joran when he raped natalee the k2 brothers let joran use their car. they were cleaning it because joran is a selfish pig, they had no choice but to clean it. if they had not cleaned it, they would look like they were also in on the murder.

WOOD: … The reason this case could still be solved is because there are so many people involved in Natalee’s disappearance and in the disposal of her body. When somebody talks, they’re going to all go down. This is like a house of cards.

It was great to hear Jossy say that the Aruban people are tired of all this and angry that Joran has brought so much negative publicity. Did he say some have apologized to Beth? Oh, I have to listen again. I do hope the Arubans see the corruption and start asking for accountability, not just from Joran and the Kalpoes, but Paulus and his friends.
Dr. Hodges comments about Joran were interesting. I had just listened to Nancy Grace who had a psychiatrist talk about Joran. She said he’s a classic sociopath who is evil. She said she does not classify all sociopaths as evil. Joran blames Natalee. In his mind, she’s screwed up and ruined his life. That’s how a sociopath sees it.
Great to hear from Jug too. I’m going to listen to this again. Lots of info to absorb.
Just finished listening to Dana’s show. It’s always great! He could have had any of those guests on for the full hour.
I especially liked Dr. Hodges. Everyone should keep in mind that this was a gang rape based on the evidence. Joran told Patrick what would make him out to be most macho man. Things like, Natalee wanted it, the Kalpoes can’t get chicks further boasting about his manhood and ability to get the girl.
This was a big gang rape on a helpless girl. Paulus is probably even in on the planning of selection of the tourists they want to rape and he probably participated in the rape and cover up.

About 9 percent fewer U.S. visitors came to Aruba in 2006, a trend widely attributed to bad press about the disappeance of the Alabama teen during a May 2005 school trip to the island. But visits were up almost 6 percent in November compared to the same month in 2005, despite the fact that the case remains unsolved.
Aruba tourism officials credit a major ad blitz in the U.S. and Latin America for luring visitors back. Americans account for more than 70 percent of tourists visiting Aruba.
Personally, I’m glad to see Aruba on the comeback trail. The Holloway case, tragic though it was, was an isolated incident and could have happened anywhere in the world. Aruba remains a safe and friendly island and certainly deserves the second chance it appears to be getting from U.S. travelers.

Looks like they don’t have diddly-squat against Vander Sloot on the Holloway case. Maybe they should focus in on the real criminals in that case; Beth Holloway-Twitty and Nancy Grace.

Van der Sloot is connected bigtime in Aruba. The police have known the whole truth since early on. The Aruban authorities told Van der Sloot’s father that they can make the problem go away as long as his kid keeps his mouth shut. Now that the kid has talked, he’s become a liability to them all. If they arrest and try him, then he may implicate them. If they refuse to try him, then they will anger the world. The Aruban authorities now have a problem. What can they do? Will Joran sometime in the future be found dead by “suicide?” Will they arrest Joran and then “find” him hanging in his cell?

You might as well give up. You might as well spill the beans on everyone involved. You might as well implicate your father, the Kaploes, the dirty police involved, VanderStratten, Koen, Freddy and everybody else. Your life depends on it. Otherwise, the cloud of suspicion hangs over your head and your innocent brothers and Aruba – but, hey, maybe you don’t care. But, maybe you do care about living. Maybe you don’t. Bob, by now we know one thing for sure. Aruba marches to the beat of its own drum and they pay no mind whatsoever as to what the world thinks of them.
Obviously, we have to turn the heat up on the boycott. Aruba is now the laughing stock of the world!
I’ve noticed that only Joe Tacopina actually comes out with the lie that Joran had nothing to do with Natalee’s disappearance. People like Michelle just keep saying “there’s no evidence” or “they don’t have diddly”. They had enough diddly to keep him on their suspect list for over 2 years and get search warrants 2 years after the fact. They’ve got something, but Slooties threw it in the storm drains with Joran’s shoes. Or maybe a search warrant and subpeona for Van der Straaten and Jacobs would help.

I liked hearing Robin Sax and Chris Darden talk about the realities of prosecuting Joran. While we’ve been very harsh with Aruban authorities, with good reason, I think we should give Mos a chance. He’s not only fighting a botched investigation, but a lot of people who are covering their behinds. Also Art Wood reminding us that usually confessions, even to police, are part lies, never the whole truth. He says they have found the Gottenbos boat AGAIN, have given that information to the Prosecutor and they’ve suspected Koen’s involvement for a long time.
I love Art Wood talking about the corrupt officials who orchestrated this fiasco: “We’re coming for you.”
IMO, this show would be a great one for people from CNN or Syrius (or whoever) to listen to as an example of what great work Dana does. It’s not often that one topic fills the whole hour, different perspectives and info from different people and Dana gives them plenty of time to talk while asking questions and offering commentary that make the show so interesting. This show really profiles how good he is.
Wish more would call in when there’s time to do so.
