HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY LEGOS … One of the Greatest Toys of all Times
Today, marks the 50th anniversary of the Legos brick. Happy birthday to one of the greatest toys ever invented for children. Legos have expanded more children’s minds with the building of nearly everything from houses to airplanes and all things in between including that what children just dreamed up on their own. Once again Legos … Happy 50th Birthday to easily one of the top 5 toys of all times. Legos are truly building blocks of child and adult learning.
The Lego company plans to celebrate the anniversary with, among other things, a worldwide contest to discover the best kid Lego builder. Each country will have its own national champion, Lego promises, and these lucky kids will get the right to come to headquarters in Denmark to fight it out for the world title.
Having, as I said above, covered two adult U.S. national model builder competitions, I can tell you that these things are great. I don’t know what Lego plans for the kids, but if it’s like the adult version, they’ll get some time to pull bricks from endless bins, and then a few hours to build something magical. They’ll also have to all craft the same object, with the best models getting a leg up for later in the competition.

Doesn’t have to be spun to be bad, Aruba is bad
I’ll bet they put it out too!
Damnit!
What does this have to do with aruba? I saved my legos from my children and my grandchildren are having a great time with these toys.I think that everyone on this site should try to go on with their lives. Aruba is doing OK without your blogs, We are here now and the place is so full with American tourists that it is obvious that your attempt to boycott is not working. I know that anyone who knows about Natalee is upset but that it seems not to effect Arubas tourism. I know that you think you affect the tourism on Aruba, but you have no real effect. I hope that the case is solved soon but I also know that most mericans could care less. Good luck with your so called boycott it doesn’t appear to be working.
Nothing is wrong with legos. I’m saving my Lincoln Logs for my Grand children.
Damn mary ann! Who lit the fuse on your tampon??!!
Buy a clue!
Back in the day, I remember I built a bunch of Star Trek phasers out of lego pieces for me and my buddies. So when we had a landing party, we were fully equiped. They all fit pretty snug in our little hands.
Those were the days.
My son is an adult fan of Lego (AFOL.) Legos have helped him through tough times, literally! He is on a Lego forum and competes in Lego contests and has a great time with a lot of adult Lego fans. Congrats to Lego on their success!
My Son loved Lego’s….we played all the time!! I only hated them when I got up in the night to go pee and stepped on a few stray suckers that didn’t get picked up…OUCHIE!
