Joel Brodsky: While I find the talk about Stacy being in Europe a bit, well, fictional, I also commented weeks ago on Gretawire that she should stop stalking Drew Peterson and let us know when there’s news.
Robin Sax: We can watch some of the antics, crimes and problems of Brittany, Lindsay, Michael Vick and others and shake our heads at what celebrities are doing, but substance abuse, steroid use and animal abuse are happening around us, even if those we know don’t make the news. Perhaps we should see these reports less as entertainment and more as something to increase our awareness of these problems.
I missed Clint Van Zandt and Brook Hart. I’ll have to wait unless someone summarizes.
Just listened to Clint Van Zandt’s discussion of the Portugal investigation into Maddie McCann’s disappearance. Sounds so much like Aruban law enforcement. I liked his analogy of the train and how you can get to a point where you can’t go back. We’ve seen how in Aruba, they didn’t want involvement from The Hague or FBI because they didn’t want JVDS to go down for the crime, but in Portugal it seems they just screwed up and got upset over the bad publicity. When are these small law enforcement agencies going to learn to ask for help within seconds after they become aware of a crime that they do not have the experience to handle? That would make them look good — smart, honest, etc.
Clint’s description of the murder of Meridith Kirscher(? don’t know her last name) by Amanda Knox and her drugged up pals is chilling. I’ve heard only scattered reports of this, never a full description. I don’t comprehend this European “hold ‘em on suspicion, destroy their life while you look for evidence” thing, unless law enforcement’s suspicion is really strong, as is the case with Amanda and friends (and JVDS).
Thank you Clint and Dana (as well as Joel, Robin and Brook). If anyone hasn’t listened to this show yet, I highly recommend it.
