Prosecutors Plan News Conference in Jessie Davis Murder … Bobby Cutts Charged (Update: Cutts Indicted)

A news conference is planned this morning in the case of murdered Jessie Davis and her Jessie_marie_davis9 month old full term fetus. An indictment is expected to be announced. Jessie Davis was initially reported missing on June 15, 2007. We would later learn that Jessie Marie Davis was murdered on June 14, 2007. Davis was 9 months pregnant at the time of her murder. The case against suspected murderer Bobby Cutts was recently presented to a grand jury. A news conference is being planned today. An indictment against 30 year old ex-police officer, Bobby Cutts, is expected to take place.

The news conference was scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Stark County Sheriff’s office. Barr said prosecutors would also discuss Myisha Ferrell, Cutts’ former high school classmate, who has been charged with obstruction of justice. Prosecutors accuse her of helping dispose of Davis’ body.

Davis was reported missing when her mother went to her home and found Blake in a dirty diaper, the bedroom furniture toppled and a pool of bleach on the floor. Blake provided authorities with the first clues, saying: “Mommy was crying. Mommy broke the table. Mommy’s in rug.” Earlier this month, Summit County medical examiner Lisa Kohler said she was unable to determine how Davis was killed. Kohler ruled that the manner of death was a homicide but offered no other details, listing the cause as “unspecified homicidal violence.” (Fox News)

UPDATE I: Bobby Cutts Jr. Indicted on Murder Charges in Deaths of Jessie Davis, Unborn Child

Bobby Cutts Jr. will face one count of murder for Davis’ death and two counts of murder for the death of her unborn child, called “baby Chloe.”

MLB: Texas Rangers 30 Baltimore Orioles 3 … Maybe Major League Baseball Should have the Mercy Rule

That is not a football score folks, that would be baseball …

Texas_Rangers

Wow, the Texas Rangers beat the Baltimore Orioles 30–3 tonight. Ouch, that’s going to leave a mark on the ERA. One has to feel for the Oriole pitcher who went 2/3 of an inning and gave up 8 earned runs. The Texas Rangers became the first team in 110 years to score 30 runs in a Major League Baseball game. The last team to do so did it in 1897. Maybe the MLB should take a page from Little League and implement a 10 run “mercy rule”. Or in this case a 20 or 25 run mercy rule. What makes the 30–3 Ranger victory even more comical is that they once trailed in this game 3–0. Check out the box score, it reads more like a whiffle ball game at a 4th of July family get-together.
