Here is a bureaucratic screw up of monumental proportions. The Maryland Department of Corrections accidentally released 27-year-old John Henri Palmont. Corrections officers went to the Prince George’s Hospital Center yesterday to release another inmate, and accidentally released Palmont by mistake.
Palmont was convicted of sexually assaulting a 9 year old girl. If anyone has seen or know Palmont’s where abouts please call the Prince Georges County Police Department’s Sexual Assault Unit at 301-772-4908.
The search continues for a man suspected of sexual assault who was mistakenly released from custody in Prince George’s County on Friday.
Police say that 27-year-old John Henri Palmont was being treated at Prince George’s Hospital Center for injuries he suffered when he jumped from a window trying to escape arrest on Thursday.Department of Corrections spokeswoman Vicki Duncan says Palmont was mistakenly freed when a corrections officer went to the hospital to release another inmate. She says an investigation is underway.

Police are still searching for John Henri Palmont suspected of raping a 9 year old girl. Just what we needed back on the streets.
Police believe that on August 3, Palmont sexually assaulted a nine year old girl living on the same street. According to the victim, Palmont knocked on her door at around 1:30 in the afternoon. He asked her if he could use her telephone and she let him in. Once he was in the residence, the victim says he displayed a handgun and sexually assaulted her.

What parent would leave a 9-year-old girl at home alone? I suppose someone who does not mind that these creeps are out on the streets lurking for their children, the same people who want the goverment to run their lives, the same people who want the government to take over healthcare. If you think this is bad, wait until the nannystate takes over the care of these children and healthcare, and no, it will not be long and it will not be pretty and these same people that are now howling for it, will be denigrating it and wishing for the old system back. Too much liberty is being given to the courts to re-interpret laws. Half of the judges and most of the politicians need to work for a living and get out of our lives and force us thereby to take care of our own business before we have no to take care of.
#1 – I agree. It’s one story after another like this.
Another “administrative error” in the judicial dept of my state. Seemingly no accountability for administrative errors.
I think the medical community needs to work on some kind of pill for HEADUPASSISTIS because it seems to be spreading like wildfire!!
Palmont turned himself in to police. He is in custody now.
Sounds like the LEOs/DOC got off easy-the guy turns himself in. The parent should be charged with reckless endangerment for leaving a 9-year old home alone. The CO that turned him loose should be charged with endangering the public. Hopefully the suspects DOC inmates kill him. I dont want my tax dollars feeding scum like that, but unfortunately this state doesnt have a big enough pair to execute people like that.
