Hello Kitty Punishment for Thai Police
Wow, and now for something completely different … Thai police officers who break the rules will be forced to wear hot pink “Hello Kitty” arm bands. What’s next for their second offense, dressing up like Malibu Barbi? I guess if they really wanted to embarrass the officers, they would make them wear these instead of the arm bands.
“Simple warnings no longer work. This new twist is expected to make them feel guilt and shame and prevent them from repeating the offense, no matter how minor,” said Pongpat, acting chief of the Crime Suppression Division in Bangkok. “(Hello) Kitty is a cute icon for young girls. It’s not something macho police officers want covering their biceps,” Pongpat said. (Fox)
To Punish Thai Police, a Hello Kitty Armband
“After this policy came out, the police are scared,” the officer said. “It will be very embarrassing to walk around with Hello Kitty on your arm.” It is a step down from the Crime Suppression Division’s official motto: “When you have no one to turn to, come to us.”
