Ex-Police Officer, Lavont Flanders Jr, Arrested for Luring, Drugging & Taping Models Having Sex

37 year old, former police officer Lavont Flanders, Jr was arrested got allegedly luring Videoaspiring models to photography studio, drugging them and then videotaping them having sex with other men. Lavont Flanders, Jr used the internet to find unsuspecting victims. One wonders how many women fell pray to this deception, or would even admit to it due to the embarrassing details? How many women did Flanders exploit before “something bad happened” to him? I think its safe to say this probably happened at least 20 times before, hmm.

According to Miramar police spokesman Bill Robertson, Flanders placed Xanax in the women’s drinks during photo sessions at his In Mind Entertainment photo studio, placing them in a drug-induced trance. He then proceeded to videotape them engaging in sexual activities with other men, Robertson said.

Police said the investigation stems from cases involving at least two women, 19 and 25 years old, from Miramar and Huntsville, Ala. Police said he found his victims on modeling Web sites, offering them money and the promise to appear in commercials for a well-known alcohol bottling company. (Local 10)

Why do some many men suffer from small man syndrome?

    3. disgustedmom on July 13th, 2007 11:01 am

I’ve often wondered if Natalee might have been approached for something like this….maybe a commercial or printwork for Aruba….fake of course, but just the same.

Tyra Banks did this thing for her show once where she set up a situation where girls were approached to be photographed in hotel rooms after normal working hours. She didn’t drug the girls-natch, but they were asked to do semi nude shots which some of them balked at but then were eventually persuaded to do it anyway. Tyra came in just as the girls were about to do it and told them it was set up to prove how easy it is for girls to get in trouble going to ‘photographer’s rooms’ for the promise of a few bucks or potential fame or even just some cool memory.

Point is, it’s a popular scam and is definitely one of the entrance points for abducting girls for trafficking as well as being a common ruse for sexual predators who sometimes end up murdering their prey.

There is some famous actress (I want to say it was that girl who played Monica on Friends, but I’m not sure) who was from Mountain Brook. Don’t you just know every aspiring actress (which most girls hold at least quietly in their dreams) in MB looks at that and thinks it can happen to them too? Don’t quote me on this….I’m digging into the archives of my memory….but I believe this actress ran away from home leaving her college education and all that to pursue a career in acting, upsetting her wealthy family. She got lucky of course, but the point is, it’s been done before in MB and who’s to say someone didn’t try to get Natalee away for something like this? Fake of course, but it does make me wonder if it’s a possible scenario.

Who knows but what Natalee WAS used in photos … drugged … without her knowledge or permission, of course … and was also handed over to someone?

      Anyone think it doesn’t happen?

    5. Richard on July 13th, 2007 11:33 am

As I remember, the guy looked through social sites (MySpace, etc.) and lured his victims in that manner. I’m sure that others have done the same thing.

I really have to question what the world is happening to our morals and our respect for women as out mothers and our daughters continue to be harmed by so so many men ?
Sometimes I am so ashamed to be a male after what our brothers can and are able to do to our sister human beings .
It just seems like TRUE justice for their wrong doings
can never come swiftly and adequately enough .
Even though it is not my place to do so ,
“Please Ladies that are so beloved let me apologize for
these misguided and sick men and try to allow those of us that do not subscribe to this type of behavior somehow be of some comfort to you ” .
Thank you Ladies , Today a very SAD > Jerry from Ohio

At one time, now it seems a long time ago, men were protective of women. Attending undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California in my youth, it was commom practice for male students to offer to escort female students to the dorm, auto etc. Now many places are places of danger for many young women and this is no longer the practice. A while back, I questioned Clint Van Zandt as to why this no longer takes place. He told me that due to the now environment, young women do not want this protection. Something which “women’s lib” and the resulting removal of the concept of what constitutes a man needs to answer for.

    9. Eyeswideopen on July 13th, 2007 4:02 pm

After reading your comment, Jerry from Ohio, I say to hell with cloning sheep. In a New York minute,I would sign a petition demanding that YOU be cloned.

As to Clint Van Zandt’s reasoning, is he suggesting that the only way a woman can feel safe going ANYWHERE is while in the company of a man? Kelsey Smith simply went to Targets . . . during daylight hours. Women’s lib has absolutely nothing to do with demented men that kill women.

      jmho

    10. John Staton on July 13th, 2007 4:39 pm

Actually it does in that the relationship of protector/protected has been eliminated. In times past if a man witnessed a women being abused out of hand he would step forth and defend. It is rare now. If I was in that parking lot where Kelsey was pushed about, there would have been a different ending. But I am old school. Hay, this was a Target parking lot. How many males saw and decided not of my concern? The majority of males no longer see it of their concern to defend an unknown female. Remember a woman needs a man like a fish needs, well you know the rest of the story

Have the x-cop castrated put in prison and let the prisoners finish the job that the courts are too afraid to do!

    12. disgustedmom on July 13th, 2007 9:45 pm

Jerry from Ohio….the world needs more like you!

Women’s lib….I don’t have anything to say on that, but I will say this about women in general….there are way too many out there giving all women a bad name. Just look on Girl’s Gone Wild for an example. It makes it hard on those girls who are not like that. All pretty girls are supposed to be like that and if a guy (some guys) are turned down by these pretty girls who are supposed to be open to anything, the guy takes it personally as if he’s not good enough and then the shat starts.

This pretty young teenager I know was driving alone in her car the other day. It was daylight on a normal street. Some guys pulled up beside her at and started hollering out the window, did she want to F? She tried to ignore them, but then they started with, What’s the matter Btch, we’re not good enough for you? The poor girl was terrified! Good thing it was a busy street and not some place where they could have caused her to have to stop her car. Good thinking on her part too, that she didn’t park. (she was on her way to go shopping) She asked me, what should she have done? She said the more she ignored them the more they called her a btch and even made threats. I suggested she might have called 911…but she said she was afraid to do that in case they ever saw her again.

Sometimes there isn’t any way out. When mean people want to hurt someone, they will.

    13. sparrow on July 13th, 2007 11:06 pm

I remember (had forgotten) when men wanted to be more protective even when they heard a man curse in front of a woman. I remember when I wasn’t afraid to go out at night, I’m talking about going shopping or going to the movie.

There’s so much meanness in this world. I was blessed to have grown-up in a better place. I think it was better anyway, slower, more gentle, happier.

Jerry from Ohio your great, wish there were more men like you.

    14. Richard on July 14th, 2007 5:57 am

I think that the whole concept of the “women’s lib” movement has evolved, the more so as it has registered successes. There was a time when it was seen as consisting of bra-burning and other silly antics. A lot of nonsense was done in the name of “equality.”

But the basic goals are things that nobody can question (or so I think): equal pay for equal work, no automatic cap on career possibilities or other limitations, and so forth.
The nonsense about sneering at women who stay home and raise kids was atrocious, but I fully support the idea that women who don’t want to do that shouldn’t have to.

Just think how fortunate we are as a nation in that we are moving towards allowing everyone a chance to make of his or her life what he or she can. Those who think the women should be bound, gagged, and hidden in the burkha of the Muslim nations are free to think so … but don’t enforce it on others who aren’t willing.

Incidentally, while I’m rambling on here … there’s the stereotype of the submissive Asian woman. This may be a social stereotype, but it’s a lot more complicated than that. I lived in Japan for eight years, and it’s usually the housewife who runs the family budget and gives her husband an allowance, for spending money.

So much for the idea that money always equals power.

And in Korea, surely one of the most patriarchal societies out there, the woman does not change her name in marriage, or so I’m given to understand. This might be of interest to those who see it as a milestone in “women’s rights.”

I hope the fiery rhetoric that we used to hear (who was it who said that American women are the most abused in the world, or some such garbage?) will be abandoned as the “movement” matures and diversifies. It’s now secure enough that women’s advocates can disagree among themselves, and that’s all to the good.

      Ladies,
please come out and tell your story. I believe I was the first victim to accuse this bastard. If you are a victim to this please just call Crime Stoppers anonymously. It was hard the first couple of months and it was hard knowing that an animal was loose for a year, but you don’t know how relieved I am to know that they caught this prick! Today is a great day for me! I can finally can have closure!
Play your part ladies and speak out/up!
      Thanks.

I am another victim of Flander’s and I hope he goes to hell. You really never wanna wish this to anybody else. It kills me inside that so many women went home and tried to forget about this (big mistake because the most important evidence will be non excisting after you shower and etc). I won’t be able to sleep till they catch the second bastard. The cops have been really slow when it comes to this case which is sad because they gave those bastards enough time to hurt more women.

    20. Victims Bro on August 2nd, 2007 6:57 pm

With all do respect “DEE K.” about your comment “Im so happy this happen to him.” What the hell happened to him? He’ll get to sit in cell for who knows how long and then maybe even have a chance to be free to do as he pleases.
