Dana, I probably agree with you 99% of the time, but not this time. If the mayor wants to give up his sleep to wait in line, that is his right. If he was going to wait all day, he should have taken a personal day. Do we know what the arrangement was? A city is not run by one person alone and I’m sure he is just a phone call away 24 hours a day. But, it is not an assistant’s job to do that for him. That would be abuse of office. As for the criticism, that goes with the job and he should have handled it better.
