TB or not TB: TB Story now Claimed to Be Made Up … Tourism at All Cost? … Big People Lie
Credibility is tough to regain. Initially Bon Dia Aruba broke the TBC story that a man had been infected and initially deported. Then yesterday Amigoe ran with the story as well that a man had been infected with TB last Saturday at Horacio Oduber Hospital. Now suddenly there was no TB infected individual and the story is claimed to be made up. Its a terrible thing when credibility is lost and as the Kalpoe’s mother said, “big people lie”. When one has a track record to cover up and avoid bad stories at all cost that might affect tourism there is a doubt placed in peoples minds as to agendas. Why would Bon Dia lie or make up such a claim?
ORANJESTAD – Amigoe reported in his edition of last Saturday that tbc-infection was detected in a man that has been straying illegally for quite some time in Aruba already. Amigoe got this article from Bon Dia. Spokesperson of Horacio Oduber Hospital (HOH), Bob Harms indicated this morning that the complete story is a concoction.
So what part of the story is made up? The fact the person was an illegal, that there was an attempted deportation or an actual TB infection? Not only did the original story state that a person was infected with TB, but also that there was an attempt to deport him as well. All is now being said to be not true, a hoax. A TB infection would be quite a scare to the tourism industry wouldn’t it? So Aruba has no crime, no date rape drugs, no murders, no TB and no Natalee Holloway.
That according to Bon Dia, the man was going to be deported, it also not true. Rudolf Kelly, head of Instituto Alarma y Seguridad Aruba (IASA), says that his department doesn’t know anything about the deportation an illegal person with tbc. Kelly says that entire story is a hoax.
Is it any wonder why they have no tourism as well?
Amigoe; February 27, 2007: The story was completely made up: No tbc in Aruba
ORANJESTAD – Amigoe reported in his edition of last Saturday that tbc-infection was detected in a man that has been straying illegally for quite some time in Aruba already. Amigoe got this article from Bon Dia. Spokesperson of Horacio Oduber Hospital (HOH), Bob Harms indicated this morning that the complete story is a concoction.
“None of our specialist knows anything about this. Besides, the hospital has a responsibility to maintain. When one of our lung specialists has a slight suspicion that a patient has open or active tbc, that person is quarantined in the hospital, and not somewhere else. As a precaution, the patient will also receive treatment immediately.”
It takes a minimum of 8 days to diagnose tbc, because it takes a lab test to confirm this.

Well everything BAD is of course a LIE.
They probably do not have to report to a Public Health Agency as they probably don’t have one.
There was a case in Dacula Ga recently. That is where the Gottenbos went to.
I guess if the guy was illegal, it doesn’t matter. Is that the thinking? We do know that some other islands have reported cases of malaria … but Aruba seems silent.
A hospital named for an Oduber … gives me the willies just thinking about it.
It was made up??? Good Lord these people are such a joke!
I’m begining to think if one person was *reported* to have been infected the truth is prolly like 10 people are infected.
And being the heartless goons that Aruban’s are they drug them out of their death beds and deported them.

That in itself is a cause of concern in GA. There Aruba goes again exposing innocent and unaware tourists to another fatal expierence in Aruba. Business as usual I guess.
Are the Aruban Elite lining up for TB tests?

A high school senior?
Don’t know. Saw the article, but did not bookmark it ! !
It was recently in the forum, so the person who found it… if they read this..post it ! ! Please.
I know when I worked in Aruba that a TB test at the hospital was one of the requirements for obtaining a work permit.
Don’t worry, probably only a hotel food worker. Does anyone know if they are required to be tested prior?
It is spread by coughing and the ordinary everyday things like breathing in and out.
There was a case here a few years ago, in one of the hostels and it was a big deal.
But then, there is no TB on Aruba is there ? It was all a pack of lies and it is a good thing it wasn’t in Diario.
when you ask yourself the question: are hey lying? you just have to remember that it’s aruba. it’s just a matter of deciding which one of them is lying. denial is not just a river in egypt.

hello red
check out the superior court of la, on Tuesday.
another effort to exonerate the kalpoes by their attorney in los angeles. she claims they should be severed from the counter claim by the family, filed after the Dr Phil libel action.
AP has the full story with LA dateline, keyword Kalpoe
______________
SM: Yes, it was posted in the forum over two hours ago..we are aware of what the Kalpoe’s attorneys are attempting to do (klaasend)
That’s just the predictable legal maneuverings. Let’s hope the judge out there has some vestiges of sanity.
Bob Harms … great spokesman for a hospital, and for Aruba.
Bob HARMS indeed.
