The Perfect Storm of bizarre stories:
- 1) 29 year old sex offender pretends to be 12 year old student
- 2) No one in the school even noticed a 29 year old adult was posing as a kid
- 3) Two adult men thought they were having sex with a minor, turned out to be an adult
In what has to be one of the most bizarre stories, even as sex offender stories go … 29 year old Neil Rodreick poses as a 12 year old elementary school student. What is sad is that Neil Rodreick passed as 12 year old Casey Price for 50 days before anyone took notice. What is sick is that Neil Rodreick is a convicted sex offender. How could anything like this happened and have allowed to go on putting children at risk?

The public anger and outrage at this turn of events has lead many to ask how a 29-year-old grown man could pose as a student, much less as a pre teen boy and no one would notice or suspect. According to various news reports, Rodreick used a variety of techniques to disguise his age, including use of make up and shaving all his body hair.
61-year-old Lonnie Stiffler and 43 year old James Snow thought they were having sex with a 12 year old boy. Imagine their surprise? Lonnie Stiffler pretended to be Rodreick’s grandfather when he tried to enroll him at Mingus Springs Charter School as “Casey Price.”
Stiffler and Robert James Snow, 43, “were very upset when the detectives told them they had been having a sexual relationship with a 29-year-old man and not a pre-teen boy,” Quayle said.
It appears that Neil Rodreick may have also done the same scam in Oklahoma.
Grand jury hands down indictment
PRESCOTT A Yavapai County grand jury on Friday indicated four men, including the 29-year-old sex offender who allegedly posed as a 12-year-old boy on multiple felony charges.
Neil Rodreick, Brian Nellis, Robert Snow all convicted sex offenders and Lonnie Stiffler each face at least 14 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor related to child pornography.
They also face multiple counts of forgery, failure to register as a sex offender and taking the identity of another.
Sex offender’s history dates to 1996; Man was arrested in case involving 6-year-old boy
But his odyssey may actually date back to April 1996, when Neil Havens Rodreick II first was arrested for an incident in which he asked a 6-year-old boy to pull down his pants.
The bizarre case took yet another twist Friday when Gila County Sheriff John Armer confirmed that Rodreick, 29, had registered at Shelby Charter School near Payson on Aug. 4, 2005. He attended nine days of class over the next month, using the name Casey Havens Rodreick and a birth date that made him 13. (AZ Central)

There is no way that this person looks remotely close to 12. Dana is right, the admissions dept at that schools needs a revamp.

Great Video, good job! This story is freaky. I am glad they arrested the four men, now they need to throw away the keys. It is absolutely amazing and boggles the mind that no-one realized this was a grown man. They must be smoking something at that school.

Honestly, if you read this in a novel, would you be inclined to think it could possibly be true?
There’s a story by some writer called “Me and Miss Mandible,” in which some computer error assigns a grown man to a sixth grade class. That was supposed to be fiction.
This is even weirder. I mean … did this guy have to speak up in class? Did the teacher wonder how his homework, if he did any, was above the level for someone of “his age”?
The world is veering off into utter insanity….

This is something that can happen in a third world country but how in the hell can it happen in the United States? CRAZY!
Nice job Klass! As for this story, Get these people an island away from others and let them offend each other. They deserve each other. Day after day more kids lives are ruined, many times for a lifetime, by these predators. You have to wonder who got the custody of the brain in this group.

Ok, I agree that he doesn’t look 12, however please remember this is a mug shot, this is not how he looked at school. I can say this because I work at the school that caught him. I notice there is no mention of the school that caught him in your report. The man wore makeup had glasses wore a baseball hat pulled down, was quite short and thin. He had what appeared to be authentic documentation for enrolling in school. These people were professionals at what they were doing. There are strict federal guideline for enrolling a student in school and the fact that they “don’t look right” is not a reason to deny admission. Our school knew there was something not right but still had to admit him, he was with adults for the bulk of the day, he was never alone with students. After the appropriate steps were taken, he was arrested later that evening. We as a school are struggling with the guilt that he was admitted even though we caught him so quickly. Reports like yours is why we are having such a hard time rebounding from this terrible event.
I think what sets off alarms in everyone’s head about this story is that we’re talking about homosexuals. Whether we like to admit it or not our society is much more homophobic than we wish to admit, and let’s face it no matter how old the minor is whenever the criminal justice system gets involved, there is never a happy ending as we saw in the case of the King Brothers down in Florida murdering their own father because of this Charles Manson style character named Ricky Chavis (

I am in pure shock and disgust !!! Yep all idiots at the school. Can I say the arrogance and balls of this **** to expose himself to so many “adults” ,so he can get his demented, sick… need I go on. Neil was my frend in 7th grade math class. During Phys ed he taught me all about my wee wee and showd me things I could do with it. We had fun. They should let him be a teacher here instead of wasting another life in prison.
