Dana, I can listen at my work ! How cool is this !
DeVries pulled what was in the Police Files.
I didn’t like to hear that either and I object to
the smear campaign on these blogs.
imo, trashing the victim is a sure sign of guilt. not to mention the fact that it’s a “no class” an action as i can imagine.

It takes a big person to trash a victim who is that there to defend themselves.
You’re absolutely right Dana: the state a victim is in, doesn’t change anything about the fact that the perpetrator is the only one who is guilty. Period!!!
At the same time you can’t rule out that drugs play a role here; maybe Nathalee who had been drinkin’ througout the day, at a certain point has taken a small amount of drugs (f.i. cocain) or has been given a drug (f.i. a rape-drug) without her knowing it. And that can be fatal. And especialy the police may not close there eyes for that. Drugs are everywhere: worldwide! In Europe, Asia, North and South America… (And most propably on Aruba that is so close to Colombia as well.) Drugs are everywhere. In every city in the world you can get drugs. And young people experiment with drugs. (And may I remind you that alcohol is a drug too. And the US has proven during the prohibation-erea that it’s impossible to totaly keep people away from drugs!!!) So I think we shouldn’t moralize on this too much. (Although I would never recommend drugs to anyone!!!)
But don’t worry; there is no smearing-campagne (other than that of the perpetrators). The fast majority of the people in The Netherlands don’t have an image of Nathalee as “trash” or as a drug-addict or even as a drug-user or something like that. Not at all!!! Most people are realistic about this as well: Nathalee was just another decent, lovely girl who had gratuated, was for a couple of days or weeks on vacation on a paridise-like island, liked to party (as most other young people around the world do!!!) and the only mistake she made was to get in the car with these boys. And normaly that wouldn’t even be a fatal mistake because most of the times that ends well. This time however bad people were in that car…
We too think it’s just a sad sad case and we want to see it solved as well!!!
