If Democrats Lose, Pelosi Will Say Election Was Stolen

PelosiThe democratic party even if they win is working hard to undermine the concept of open and free elections. Nancy Pelosi, leader of the House Democrats, has already announced that if they lose it will be because the Republicans stole the election.

Pelosi cautioned that the number of Democratic House victories could be higher or lower and said her greatest concern is over the integrity of the count — from the reliability of electronic voting machines to her worries that Republicans will try to manipulate the outcome.

“That is the only variable in this,” Pelosi said. “Will we have an honest count?’’ via SFGate

So instead of the time honored tradition of fighting the good fight during the campaign, the Democratic Party as they have shown in 2000 and 2004 are not going to stop after the election is over. They will use every tool and every method at their disposal to cast dispersions on the results as long as they do not win.

And what is sad, this is much worse than sour grapes. It is undercutting an institution and I think that this is their ultimate goal. The democrats claim to be the party of the people, but when you see their leadership it is a collection of elitists that are amazed at their own reflection in the mirror (see John Kerry). And these elitists know what is best for you and your families.

If the Republicans win today, and we hope they do for many social, economic, and military reasons, we hope the Democrats are respectful and do not turn the country into turmoil as they have in past years.

But I doubt they will.

It’s hard from some people to realize that the voters don’t like em. Rather than admitt that it is easier to lay blame. I guess that is called being full of yourself…..

No wonder I can’t find an attorney today … They are all at the election stations monitoring for Rovian conspiracies. ;)

I would like to say I am joling but alas it is actually true.

Although I am glad to see that Nancy P. got a new face and hair doo for the elections.

BTW every voter today should show their ID so that they can check to be sure you are who you say you are.

On the local radio station here, alot of people are imposing their ids at the ballots to see if the workers check the ids.

BE A GOOD CITIZEN AND VOTE!

My gut says the Dem’s take back the house, GOP keeps the senate. People are frustrated over the Dubai ports issues, Mike Foley, the war in Iraq. They haven’t noticed the rising interest rates (great for savers) the low unemployment and the general SAFE condition of the USA from outside attacks.

Cut and run will be horrible if it ever comes to fruition.

Lets hope middle america gets off their collective duffs and VOTES today. The Dems are much better and getting their base to vote. I recall in 2000, Jesses Jackson was diverted to Philidelphia. He literally with a group of followers went street by street banging on doors to get people out and to the polls. Now that’s passion.

America, are you listening? Are you ready for a change in the house? Or can you live to more years with existing leadership? Do you want safety? Vote and be heard

    14. Patti on November 7th, 2006 4:57 pm

Since when do we feel safer with the war in Iraq??? This
country is still the most violent in the world. I’d like
to see us spend the budget allocated to the war on helping
US and clean our streets of our OWN terrorists.

I got 4 letters today from lawyers, telling how I needed to vote.I recycle Joe

Looks like she has nails in that there whip…. Have our
      scandals changed from the S & L type to the S & M type????

I don’t know for sure, but I do believe that politics are
      purrrrrrre torture…

    18. John on November 7th, 2006 7:09 pm

I share her concern of the integrity of the counting of the votes. It has been well documented that the new voting machines can be hampered with an there’s no paper trail. So who can actually guarantee the integrity of the counting of the votes?
Especially when national polls show that Americans are not satisfied with the way the country is going. Therefore, I totally support her concern!

    19. Carpe Noctem on November 7th, 2006 7:19 pm

I agree with you Patti! lol

She looks a little too happy
to be holding that thang, and quite
      frankly I find it unsettling.

I am repulsed and just slightly amused…
      but mostly the former.

Nancy P going down in History as the first House Leader. Well done Nancy, partisan politics aside.

There are some curious indications now. For example Howard Dean. Clearly Hillary, Edwards and Obama have their sights on the 2008 presidential elections. But now DNC chief Dean and his people are saying “Whoa? I just delivered a power shift in the House and most likely the Senate. Not to mention all the governorships? He will spend the next two years calling in his markers as he announces his bid for the Presidency.

The next two years will be made for TV hearings, gridlock and Bush Vetoing everything until Congress votes to shut down the government like the Reps did to Clinton in ’95, ’96, and again ’98. (if memory serves correctly)

There will be talk of impeachment, calls for Rummys head on a platter and a lip service troop reduction in Iraq. But I fear gridlock on Social Security, Immigration, Education, etc.

America spoke last night, they don’t like scandals (Foley, Dubai ports, etc) Dems get two years to show off their stuff or America will speak again. And I don’t necessarily mean back to Republicans. America has realized its power to vote and will vote in new every two years to four years if is has to (six in the Senate) just to be heard. One of our greatest tools is the power to VOTE.

    21. Rammstein on November 8th, 2006 7:49 am

but they didn’t loose, did they. They won a good majority in the house and are still in the running for the senate majority.

    22. Patti on November 9th, 2006 1:20 am

I think she got her face lifted at the very same exquisite
salon as our friend from “Family Lies”.

She should have done it a couple of weeks earlier, you know,
given time for her skin to re~s~t~r~etch. I think they may
have done her nose and chin too tight. It looks like she
may be stuck in that position for a very long time…

Ooooh ohhhhh …….. I hope she doesn’t cRaCk!?!?!

THIS is Hollywood, Baby, and DOn’t you Forget it!!!!
