Brian Rooney, Suspected Murderer of Michelle Gardner-Quinn, Was Sexual Predator According to Court Papers
As if this could be a surprise to anyone who understands how sexual assaults are not typically one time events, Brian Rooney has had a long past of sexual threats in his past. The suspected murderer of Michelle Gardner-Quinn has a long history according to court documents in aggressive behavior towards women. With poor Michelle Gardner-Quinn, he just raised the level of violence that he committed to murder in the first degree.
The man who has left a trail of restraining orders and delinquent child support payments across northern Vermont over the past 15 years is now the chief suspect in the slaying of University of Vermont student Michelle Gardner-Quinn. Her body was found near Huntington Gorge in Richmond on Oct. 13, six days after she vanished while making her way back to her dorm room after spending the evening in downtown Burlington.
The disappearance of the 21-year-old UVM senior from Arlington, Va., spawned a week of intense searches and captured national media attention. The discovery of her body by hikers brought the harrowing week to a crushing end.
The medical examiner ruled her death a homicide, but police have declined to say how, when and where Gardner-Quinn was killed. Police say Rooney, 36, lent the student his cell phone the night she disappeared and is the last person known to have seen her before she vanished. via the Burlington Free  Press.com

if convicted, how long will his sentence likely be? how long before he’s allowed to kill again? how much longer, and how many more girls are going to have to die before we, as a society, learn to put the people with these kind of propensities in jail forever?

He had a LONG history of sexual threats and he was still on the streets. Our system is failing us. DENNY, I agree with you. They should be behind bars forever.
Behind bars…nah…i would love to be judge, jury and executioner in his case. Kill him now, before any of my tax money is wasted on his poor sad excuse for a life.
