New Orleans Radio Host Vince Marinello Accused of Murdering his Wife Mary Elizabeth Marinello

Radio talk show host Vince Marinello surrendered to authorities on Thursday in New Orleans for the murder of his wife, Mary Elizabeth Marinello. The radio talk show host that was known by fans for his post Hurricane Katrina broadcasts. After Hurricane Katrina hit, Vince Marinello switched his WWL talk show’s focus from sports to hurricane relief. Now Vince is facing murder charges that carry a mandatory life sentence.

Now, Marinello stands accused of donning a disguise and shooting his estranged wife to death in a gangland-style hit in a suburban parking lot. Mary Elizabeth Marinello, 45, died Friday around 2 AM at the Charity Hospital Trauma Center in Elmwood.

Major Jill Metzger still Missing in Kyrgyzstan

Today is the day that Major Jill Metzger was to return home to Moody Air Force base after a 4 month tour in Krygyzstan. However, Jill Metzger has been missing for two days since she was last seen going into a department store.

Major Metzger is the Military Personnel Flight commander stationed overseas at Manas Air Base, a base primarily used for refueling missions to and from Afghanistan. This is the first incident of this kind both at Moody and in Kyrgyzstan.   ”No, this is the very first time something like this has happened in that country,” the colonel said.  ”We have never had an incident like this before.”
