What Is Going On With Dallas Cowboys WR Terrell Owens Now? Alergic Reaction, Overdose, Suicide?
Terrell Owens never one to shy away from the camera and the spot light is back in it again. This time it has nothing to do with the NFL or a team mate controversy. Terrell Owens was rushed to The Baylor Medical Center last night. Initial reports stated it was due to an adverse allergic reaction to pain killers he was taking for his fractured hand. Now we are hearing it may have been an attempted suicide.

Police report: Terrell Owens attempted suicide
According to a Dallas police report obtained by News 8, Dallas Cowboys star receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide Tuesday night.
The report says Owens, 32, was depressed and reportedly took prescription pain pills. Owens broke his right hand in a Sept. 17 game against the Washington Redskins.
A woman companion stated that she observed Owens putting two pills in his mouth.
According to the police narrative, the woman said the prescription of 40 pills was filled on September 18 and—until Tuesday—Owens had taken only five pills. (WFAA)
UPDATE: Cowboys’ Owens Denies Suicide Attempt
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell OwensOwens said “there was no suicide attempt,” explaining that he mixed painkillers with supplements and became groggy.
He said Wednesday that the confusion over his condition likely stemmed from an empty bottle of pain medication found by his publicist, who was with him at the time. He said the rest of the pills were in a drawer. (Breitbart)

Terrell had a difficult, abusive childhood, living across the street from his father and his father’s family and never being acknowledged by his father as being his son until age 12 and never having a relationship with him until he became a famous, rich football star.
“When Terrell turned 12, he befriended a girl across the street. Her father noticed and confronted him, warning Terrell that the girl was actually his half-sister. Thus the youngster learned who his father was.”

Sad. Probably a guy with such low self-esteem that he became an overachiever to compensate. I hope he is ok. Shows how important a good dad is, doesn’t it?

Go Terrell,,,,,,,,,,,,,”"GO COWBOYS”" !!!!!
I hope his cry for help is acknowledged, and that he gets some counseling. I also hope he can continue to play football, because it may not be good for him to be idle. I feel bad for him, that he could not get help in another way, but maybe now he finally will be able to find relief for his pain.
Many people have tried to help T.O. When he was with the 49ers and Eagles team officials tried to get him to seek counciling. He refused and was insulted. Donovan Mcnabb and his family tried to take in T.O. Look how that worked out. He can’t be helped until he wants to help himself. I hope things work out for him because he is such a talented player.
Almost the same thing as in post #1 happened to Tim McGraw and look how he’s turned out. Terrell needs to come back to sweet home, Alabama and let us help him get his head back on straight.
I just caught the end of Terrell Owens’ press conference. He did not try to commit suicide.
I am a sports writer and announcer and one of the few TO fans left in the sports world! However, this has got to stop! I feel for the guy, but not all is well. His publicist will take the heat for this, saying police took her comments out of context. But TO needs a support system and needs one now.
Otherwise viscious fans will not sing his (now infamouse Philly song) Tee OH, tee OH, but rather they will be singing this song come this Sunday….
Oh-Dee, Oh Dee, Oh Dee Oh Dee Oh Dee
T.O. The gift that keeps on giving, for the NY Giants!

I really don’t know if TO is the suicidal type, I’d have to say no. I think he loves himself too much. But what I do know is that he does carry a lot of bagage where ever he goes.
IMO, professional game players are an overpaid lot but do contribute to a billion dollar entertainment market. Somewhere along the line it comes down to business. This is why TO, as great a player he is, has been shuffled off from team to team the last few years.
Much like Ron Artest in the basketball world. As good as he is, the general opinion in Indiana is – good bye, good luck and don’t let the door kick you in the ass.
