Cell Phones and Electronic Devices Are Dangerous for Air Travel According to Study

Who knew? And I always thought they just wanted us to use those high priced phones they provided on the plane. That and I can’t imagine being on a three hour flight and having to listen to someone chat on their cell phone the entire way. The restriction of use of cell phones probably prevents more air rage than any study could learn.

Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar Runs Over 6 Students At UNC Over Treatment of Muslims in America

Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, a recent graduate of University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, ran over 6 people who were congregating at the Pit, a main student gathering point on the UNC Campus.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the State Bureau of Investigation and other local emergency agencies, including a bomb squad, are on the scene of the mostly student complex at the intersection of Smith Level and BPW Club roads.

According to the Associated Press, the FBI joined the case because Taheri-azar, a native of Iran, “allegedly made statements that he acted to avenge the American treatment of Muslims. The ongoing investigation will work to confirm this,” said Special Agent Richard Kolko, an FBI spokesman in Washington. via The News and Observer

This has created a stir in the blogosphere as many wonder if this is an isolated instance or a potential part of a terroristic plot. The Locker Room wonders if this is in response to the Mohammed Cartoons that have inflamed Muslims around the world. The Simi Valley Sophist is reminded of a postal worker going postal. Texas EquuSearch Joins Search for GA Tech Student Daniel Compton

Tim needs ground searchers and those that can use their vehicles. Texas EquuSearch’s command center is located at Georgia Tech University, Student Services Building, 177 North Ave NW, Atlanta, GA. The search will begin at 9:30am on Saturday, March 4, 2006.

Daniel Compton was last seen at Moondogs, a bar located in Buckhead, at approximately 2:00 a.m., Friday morning, February 17.

AM Digital: Clash Between Gerold Dompig and Texas EquuSearch

I sincerely hope this article was done responsibly. The following was published in today’s, Friday March 3, 2005 AM Digital. One would think that searching for Natalee Holloway and providing searchers and equipment at no cost to Aruba would not have a downside. Frankly, it is amazing that it does at all.

Bickering about a search organization that wishes to only find Natalee Holloway and in the process close a chapter that one would assume Aruba desperately wants.

Are You Kidding? CA Teen, Melissa Huff’s, Stolen Prosthetics Legs Returned

One really has to wonder what in God’s name is wrong with some people. Stealing someone’s prosthetic legs? Like this 16 year old girl doesn’t have enough to deal with in life. Melissa Huff’s prosthetic legs were not stolen once, but twice since November.

The first theft happened Nov. 1, when someone cut a hole in a window screen in Huff’s home and stole a $12,000 cosmetic leg. Her doctor and two companies donated money for a new, $16,000 sports leg, which she uses to play softball on the Arcadia High team.

The stolen leg was tossed into the family’s back yard in January.
