Diario: Natalee Holloway investigation remains focused on the original suspects, according to commissioner Dompig
From Diario October 26, 2005; INVESTIGACION DEN CASO NATALEE HOLLOWAY, TA SIGUI ENFOCA RIBA E SOSPECHOSONAN ORIGINAL, esaki segun Comisario Dompig
In the Diario article Dompig states that “he found it regrettable that the judge let the suspects go, because the police force saw it differently. They thought that they had enough proof for them to remain in detention still.”
Dompig further went on to say, “he continued to say that he has to live with the judge’s decision, but this doesn’t take away from the fact that the investigation continues, and that the focus remains on these suspects because they are not off the hook yet.”
English translated article:
ORANJESTAD (AAN): During an interview, DIARIO asked Dompig if the investigation on the case of Natalee Holloway remains in the direction of the original suspects, Joran van der Sloot, Satish Kalpoe and Deepak Kalpoe.
The commissioner explains that it is true that that is the case, because everything shows that they have to know more, given that Natalee went with them in the car. However, this does not exclude other suspects in this case.
DIARIO asked Dompig how the story turned out where one or more of the suspects said during an interrogation that Natalee was perhaps killed.
According to the commissioner it turned out that they don’t know anything of this, and that they only know that they left her on the beach.
He continues to say that it is important to verify their version, where he explains that they have to prove that they went in front of Joran van der Sloot’s house, so people in the community think that they have seen the gray Honda Civic around 1:40 am.
If there are people who saw the car parked at the house at that time, it is very important that they get in touch with police.
DIARIO asked the commissioner about the verbal declarations made to police, where one of the suspects declared that he believes that one of the other suspects killed Natalee and if something is being done with this.

I still believe that Paulus Van Der Sloot is the link, or the key to the disapperance of Natalee, but of course he can’t come forward because it would ruin his career and his family. He would rather ruin Natalee’s family’s lives and the future of Aruba. He should never work in the government again.
Yes, papa sloot, is a very intelligent man….I hope I never have to deal with him….He seems to have ALL the angles.
well, marci, you hit the nail right on the head. and also, can you imagine the public relations nightmare it will create if they actually hire him again. they will have to hire another spin doctor to help the one they just hired. and such a fine fellow he is, too baghdad bob didn’t have a thing on this guy or aruba ruben.
i just read the part where they boys are denying knowing what happened to natalee after the 3 “gentlemen” left her on the beach alone. that would mean there is another local person who goes around murdering people on the beaches of the happy island in the wee hours of the morning. had to be a local person, since a visitor wouldn’t have a clue about hiding a body so well that it couldn’t be found after 5 months of intensive searching. wow, what a revelation.
I agree Marci. I am going to pray that someone in the judicial system will care enough to do the right thing and arrest the 3 original suspects.
google aruba and read about how some of the other islands feel about the political and judicial system on aruba. i think that there are or were individuals on the police force there that did things wrong in the beginning. i think prosecutors office has been deceived(best scenario) about this case, but i think the worst mishandling of the case has been with the judiciary system. pvds and his cronies (parents of the other pimps, maybe) have the judges of aruba and even other dutch islands wrapped around their little fingers.
On the 26th the investigation was “focused on the original suspects”, but by the 30th it had progressed to the US and Beth.
Pretty fast work now after 5 months, I wonder where it will progress to next.
Julie,
I beleive that if there was anyone involved who had a conscience or feared God, they would have come forward long ago. I am praying these people will fall into the pits they have dug to snare others.
Big circles and little circles. Things ALWAYS come back. It’s obvious there will not be instant karma in this situation, but I believe in my heart this is going to turn around and bite the VDS-2 and the K-2 right in the arses. May they all burn in hell.
great article very useful.
I’ve been to Aruba many times and the views differ widely depending upon social class. Those in the upper class know the van der Sloot kid did it and his father was an accomplice after the fact by helping to dispose of the body (no body – no crime). They say if the Kalpoe brothers ever “rolled” on Joran that since they’re Surinamese, THEY would be the ones tried as murderers and Joran would be tried for a lesser crime.
The poorer classes actually claim that Natalee is alive in Jamaica with her Jamaican boyfriend with whom she ran away with from Aruba. I find this prospect ludicrous. Sorry, but like her coffee, Natalie prefers men light and sweet. She’s not shacking up with Rasta Man in Jamaica. Joran van der Sloot killed her and his family knows it and many of the people in Aruba know it. Sadly, he’ll only be fully held accountable when he is held to account by God.
