Viagra; Use It and Lose It?

Who would ever have thought this childhood myth was actually true? Who knew? Now there might actually be a link between the use of Viagra and blindness.

The Food and Drug Administration still is investigating, but has no evidence yet that the drug is to blame, said spokeswoman Susan Cruzan.

The FDA has 50 reports of the blindness. Viagra has been taken by more than 23 million men worldwide.

“We take this seriously,” said FDA’s Cruzan

I’m glad they are because I am finding it very difficult to. So it seems are some more people. Then came the news that in rare cases Viagra could cause blindness. This could mean that in the 21st Century aged mothers would warn their sons: “If you do Viagra you’ll go blind.”

I just wonder out of those 23 million male users, how many of them are willing to take the risk? One could only imagine what would happened if these drugs were ever pulled from the market.

I seriously do wonder whether Viagra type drugs do cause blindness as there would be many in the porn industry wearing dark glasses and carrying walking ~~sticks~~ canes.

Patterico’s Pontifications, brings up a rather interesting point that I had thought of earlier. Seems like the medication would fit the crime.
