American Idol and the South
Here is a honest question.
Why are all of the American Idol winners from the South?
Kelly, Rueben, Fantasia, and now Bo or Kerry all hail from the South.
Are the southerners more talented, or are the people who live in the south the ones who vote in this competition.
I think it is the former, but I am biased.

Is this a Yankee “Rebel”ion? Just curious… (clever, huh?)
While I haven’t watched this season, I am familiar enough with previous winners. I think they all go their start singing in their local church… as the same for runners up in Season 2 Clay and Kimberly (also from the South). Josh Gracin from Season 2 isn’t from the South but he lives in Nashville now and has done quite well for himself in country music. And the runner up from last season, Diana, is also from the South.
My guess would be the early training singing old spirituals. And their small home towns vote like CRAZY – pulling together with a sense of community pride.
And yes, we are just more talented down here. Heh.
