Sandy Berger Pleads Guilty – IT WAS INTENTIONAL
Today former President Clinton’s national security adviser Sandy Berger pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor in federal court. However, unlike all the spin and comments that both he and his attorney have made prior, that “He called the episode “an honest mistake,” and denied criminal wrongdoing”, (an honest mistake?); today was much different according to Fox News.
Berger acknowledged to U.S. Magistrate Deborah Robinson that he intentionally took and deliberately destroyed three copies of the same document dealing with terror threats during the 2000 millennium celebration. He then lied about it to Archives staff when they told him the documents were missing.
No explanation was asked by the Judge, nor none was given by Berger to the media upon leaving the court house. So after all this, it was intentional.
