WHO LET THE DOGS OUT … OR BURIED THEM IN THE BACK YARD COMPLETE WITH PLASTIC BAGS AND DUCT TAPE? HUH?
What is supposed to be the final day of the Jose Baez defense of accused tot mom murderer Casey Anthony before they rest, Baez might have sunk to a new low of silliness and showed that it was rank amateur day. In what can only be called as one of the largest stretches ever seen in a court of law, let alone disgustingly hideous, Casey Anthony’s lead defense attorney Jose Baez actually called every member of the Anthony family and asked them about a history of their canines they owned and how they were buried.
George Anthony, Cindy and Lee were all questioned, one after the other about their backyard PET CEMETERY that would have made even Steven King cringe. What was Jose Baez thinking to actually make the comparison of burying a dog in the back yard to that of precious little Caylee? As asked by the Orlando Sentinel, Did the defense just bury itself with the asking of pet questions? Not only is the answer, yes, Baez also just showed yet again what a novice attorney he is as he continued down this completely silly line of questioning that was completely offensive. How does the Anthony’s having the practice of burying an abundance of dogs in the back yard some how tie to George Anthony being complicit is the disposal of Caylee? Of course in his lack of wisdom, Baez also pointed out is his not ready for prime time direct of the A’s that Casey would have learned as well how to use duct tape and plastic bags. What a sad moment for the legal system.
WFTV-Channel 9 anchor Greg Warmoth wondered if the questions about pets tied George Anthony to the duct tape and Caylee’s remains. Casey Anthony, George’s daughter, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Caylee.
WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer scoffed, “Come on. What a stretch this is, for heaven’s sakes.”
Judge O.H. Eaton Jr., legal analyst for WESH-Channel 2, said he wasn’t sure where the defense was headed with the pet questions. “Somebody in the family buries dogs in plastic bags, and I guess there’s supposed to be a leap from that to this child was treated the same way,” Eaton said. “It’s hard to connect that. It was so long ago.”
Not only did Baez offend with this line of questioning, he allowed prosecutor Jeff Ashton to ask in cross the line of the morning to George Anthony, “have ever tossed a dead pet in the swamp.” Point for the State. What a pathetic line of questioning by Baez as Defense attorney Cheney Mason was seen sitting at the defense table leaning back most likely shaking his head in his mind, contemplating days of yore before ever having head of the name of Jose Baez and thinking … What the hell have got myself into?
Jose Baez, is this all you have? As you rest your case today you defend your client for a capital murder charge and all you got is a dog names Mandy? Yikes. As crime blogger Blink from Blink on Crime stated, “O Mandy, when you came and you gave without taping … “. We hate to make light and jest about this, but it just proves the point of how absolute ignorant this line of questioning truly was by Baez.
Who knew that the Casey Anthony murder trial and the death of little Caylee would be turned into such a joke by Jose Baez? He has presented the Mandy defense … or is it the “Me and You and a God Named Boo” Defense? The question might not be, Who let the Dogs Out … but instead, Who Let Jose Baez into the legal profession?
EXIT QUESTION … Just how many Anthony pets have died?
