After all these years, attorney Joe Tacopina still making excuses for the murdering ways of Joran Van der Sloot. Another dead girl, this time the victim is Stephany Flores Ramirez and the usual suspects rush to the defense of Joran Van der Sloot and Aruba.
Joran Van der Sloot suspect in the murder of
Like any good defense attorney, Joe Tacopina is still making excuses for the accused murderer Joran Van der Sloot. This time Tacopina has to try and save face and wash the blood off his hands for the now stabbed to death 21 year old Stephany Flores who was found dead in a hotel room in Lima, Peru registered to who else but Natalee Holloway murder suspect Joran Van der Sloot. Now Joran Van der Sloot is a suspect again in another murder.

An attorney for Van der Sloot in New York City, Joe Tacopina, said he did not know his client’s whereabouts and has not been in touch with him since the Peru allegations emerged.
Tacopina cautioned against a rush to judgment.
“Joran van der Sloot has been falsely accused of murder once before. The fact is he wears a bull’s-eye on his back now and he is a quote-unquote usual suspect when it comes to allegations of foul play,” Tacopina said.
Van der Sloot was twice arrested but later released for lack of evidence in the 2005 disappearance of Holloway, who was on a high school graduation trip to the Caribbean island.
Click on the pic above to watch the VIDEO of Red, Steven Cohen and Joe Tacopina and hear Red make Tacopina agree with him. Is it any wonder that Joe would later refuse to debate Red on TV shows.
Tacopina is making the rounds again; however, just like when he defended Joran Van der Sloot in the death and disappearance of Natalee Holloway, I am sure he will be ducking confrontational interviews going up against informed pundits.

Joe Tacopina was on last nights Jane Velez-Mitchel on HLN once again defending the indefensible.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Joe Tacopina, you are the attorney for Joran Van Der Sloot. People are saying, wow, this is a growing body of evidence that connects him to the murder of this Stephany Flores Ramirez. It was his room. She was brutally murdered in a room registered to him, and then he flees. He takes off and tries to go to another country, and now they`re hunting for him. What do you say as his attorney?
JOE TACOPINA, ATTORNEY FOR VAN DER SLOOT (via phone): Well, listen, obviously, I don`t know enough about the facts to comment on this thing. I don`t think anyone does. You know, I`ve been reading articles as if they were proven facts.
I think if history teaches us anything, in the Joran Van Der Sloot case or cases, if you will, is that you sort of need to really wait and see what`s fact and what`s fiction. There have been so many false reports out there time and again regarding stated evidence and what not. And I think you really have to sort of step back and let this investigation take course.
You know, I don`t know — I don`t know what happened. I don`t know if he was there or if he wasn`t there, and I`m not going to sit here and say he certainly had nothing to do with this. I don`t know. But I do know that there have been enough false reporting surrounding this kid and his cases that I think you really have to step back and say let`s wait and see how the investigation, you know, progresses.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, I think I want to go to Stacy Honowitz, Florida prosecutor, to respond to that. Stacy…
…
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Why did he run?
TACOPINA: Again, who`s saying he ran? Who is saying he ran?
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Well, where is he? There`s an — there`s an international dragnet under way as we speak.
TACOPINA: Because he`s not in the locale that he was in two days ago does not mean he was on the run.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: All right.
TACOPINA: How do you know he didn`t have a preplanned — how do you know? I mean, that`s the point. Before we condemn — and look, I get it and I understand that he has a very short rope. And he should be a prime suspect if all I`ve heard so far is true, but before you go and convict someone, before you…
VELEZ-MITCHELL: I hear you. I hear you.

Then we have the other usual suspect making the media rounds shilling for Van der Sloot and Aruba, Julia Renfro of Aruba Today. (Full transcript -JVM) No Julia, let’s of pray to God that the Peruvian justice system is nothing like the one in Aruba … or the lack there of.
Julia Renfro, you`re the editor-in-chief of “Aruba Today”. What is the reaction in Aruba tonight to this stunning, new development?
JULIA RENFRO, EDITOR-IN-CHIEF, “ARUBA TODAY”: Everybody`s completely shocked. The Internet, the radios, the newspapers, which will be headlining tomorrow; everyone`s very, very, very surprised and of course, very concerned about this young lady that has been murdered.
The most important thing that we have to consider here, right now, is that it`s possible he could be involved with both crimes, but to date, we have to wait for the justice system of Peru, just like we had to wait for the justice system of Aruba.
Ms Renfro, you are not allowed to use the words Aruba and justice in the same sentence. There might actually be a law in Aruba stating such.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: Is it a little frustrating in the sense that a lot of people had said, you know, there was conflict over this case, obviously, and it became sort of a battle of wills — the Natalee Holloway case. And a lot of people in Aruba were like, hey, don`t blame the entire country and leave us alone, basically, stop persecuting us.
RENFRO: Well –
VELEZ-MITCHELL: And now it seems like some of the things that Beth Holloway had said were prophetic and they`re coming true and maybe he should have been arrested in Aruba, considering he gave all these different confessions.
RENFRO: You`re absolutely right, but in the same time, there was no evidence. And you yourself know that they could not put anybody behind bars without any kind of evidence. Maybe in this particular case there will be. We have to keep in mind that, apparently, Joran checked out of the hotel on Sunday morning at 8:00, and the young lady wasn`t discovered until 10:00 at night on Tuesday. That`s almost three days.
Then Renfro leaves us with the following BS of which every one with a brain knows to be false, especially in light of Joran Van der Sloot murdering again. Just let it flow off your lips Julia and get used to saying it … yes there was a cover up in Aruba and because of it another girl is dead. Happy?
T.J. WARD, PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR IN NATALEE HOLLOWAY`S CASE: Well, hopefully, the new administration will take some incentive to take another look at the case in Aruba and bring some closure for the Holloway family. This is a very, very bizarre situation that`s now happened again. And if the government had not covered up this case in Aruba as they did from the beginning with the security guards, then maybe this wouldn`t happen.
Rest assured, he`s got no legs to hand himself on in Peru now and nobody to cover up for him. So, maybe there will be justice served in Peru.
VELEZ-MITCHELL: And finally, Stacey — go ahead.
RENFRO: There`s no evidence of a cover-up, and you and I both know -
Let’s get some thing perfectly clear. There are many that have egg on their face as they defended an individual and helped Van der Sloot get away with a crime only to have him kill again. To those who did do, I hope you are happy.
One thing is for certain in all of this … Beth, Dave and rest of the family and the millions who supported the Holloway family trying to find Justice for Natalee have been vindicated.
UPDATE I: Joe Tacopina claiming Inconsistencies in Case.
Really Joe, this from the person that said we had to wait until all the evidense was in. Or is that only if you want top spin the fact that Joran is some how not guilty of murdering a girl found in a hotel room registered to him while he is on the run from Interpol.I guess Tacopina is back on retainer.
He said, “I’ve read reports, many reports in the last 12 hours in regards to this investigation. And I’ve seen inconsistencies already. And I hearken back to the last five years with the Aruba investigation, where time and again we’ve heard stories come out that turn out to be rumor or false facts. And I think you just have to be wary of that when you’re dealing with Joran van der Sloot and this saga.
“I’m not taking the position that he’s being wrongly accused – if he’s being accused. I’ve heard that there is an arrest warrant. I’ve heard that there is not an arrest warrant. What I do say is that Joran van der Sloot is an easy guy to point the finger at. He’s a popular suspect, he’s someone who people believe — people have very strong opinions about this – that he got away with murder, literally, in Aruba which, the evidence says otherwise, the judges have said otherwise. But he’s someone who is easy to point the finger at, he wears a bulls-eye on his back.”
Tacopina also pointed out that witnesses say they saw van der Sloot and Flores together on Sunday, but her body wasn’t found until Wednesday.
Face it Joe Tacopina, you defended a killer. The bulls-eye Joran wears on his back was put there by himself and those that enabled him his entire life. Daddy Sloot is not around to clean up the Sporter’s mess this time. Five years later Joran will receive the justice he should have received previously in Aruba.
