34 year old Miriam Carey of Stamford, CT who led police on a car chase from the White House to the Capitol in Washington, DC before being killed by police may have thought that President Barack Obama was stalking her. Sadly, Carey suffered from mental issues, including in some reports postpartum depression. She also had a history of mental issues. No matter how one looks at it, she was just a woman with too many issues. Now I agree with the Vodka Pundit 100% in that “what happened yesterday wasn’t even an attack , it was a disturbed woman acting out her delusion”. And thank God she did not harm anyone else seriously, including her one year old child. But, I will say the following. Imagine if the optics were different and instead of a crazy black woman in a car going off the rails and claiming that Barack Obama was stalking her, it was an insane white, male, Tea Party member in an SUV? Do you think the news coverage would be different?
