Stuck on Stupid, Peggy West Democrat Milwaukee County Supervisor Says “Arizona’s Law Might Have Been Justifiable if It Was a Border State”

Just how ignorant and uniformed are the people who are against the Arizona immigration law?

In America, you have a right to be a Democrat. You have the right to be a liberal. You even have the right to have an opinion or view point.  However, you do not have the right to be an ignorant, uninformed, ignoramus political official spouting off nonsense while as an elected official you are trying to boycott a state when you are clueless.

Who elects these fools is the real question. Enter Peggy West, the Democrat Milwaukee County supervisor who gave us the following words of wisdom regarding immigration and the Arizona law … “Arizona’s law might have been justifiable if it was a border state.” WHAT??? The following was actually said during a Milwaukee County board meeting.

Full quote from Michelle Malkin who thinks that Peggy West might need a geography lesson.

“If this was Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this, saying that they have a major issue with, you know, undocumented people flooding their borders, I would say, I would have to look twice at this, but this is a state that’s a ways removed from the border…”

Wow, Arizona actually borders Mexico … who knew?

Here is an interesting bit of information for the geographically challenged and foolish Peggy West, look what happens when you “google” Arizona … a map comes up and guess what? That map shows that Arizona shares a border with Mexico. Hardly, “a ways removed”.

Peggy West’s VIDEO of her ignorant comments reminded me that I thought I was watching an old SNL skit of Emiliy Litella and “Oh, Never Mind.”

A colleague of Peggy West had to remind her that in fact Arizona did share a border with Mexico. I wonder if that now means that West will give the Arizona immigration law credence and a second look? That is what she said she would do in her initial statement. So how does an ignorant liberal try and save face? Oh by saying they simply misspoke. Try again Peggy.

Her colleague, Joe Rice, quickly corrected her, “I just want to assure my colleague that Arizona does in fact share a border with the country of Mexico.”

While speaking at the meeting, West did go on to talk about National Guard troops on the border in Arizona.  West points to that as she tells us that she simply misspoke.

Check out the following lies and spin from Peggy West trying to save face from the comments that she made that went viral on the Internet.

“I did get a passing grade in Geography in high school and in college and I do obviously know that Arizona is on the border,” West said in an interview after today’s meeting.

West claims that the point she was trying to make is that because Texas has a much larger border with Mexico, she might feel differently about such a law in that state.  “Had Texas come out with the legislation, having the largest border, I think that I would be more receptive to the fact that there was a problem.  But having it be Arizona, having it be the second largest boarder and knowing there are troops on the border in Arizona, it didn’t seem to me that this legislation was particularly necessary at this moment in time,” West said.

The uninformed LEFT will lie their way through any thing. Oh, because AZ is only the second largest border with Mexico, they are not allowed to pass a law. Only if it was Texas, then that would be ok. If you use West’s logic to its ultimate conclusion with border being the reason when you are allowed to dio anything … then West being in Wisconsin “far removed” from the Mexican border, she shouldn’t not be allowed to say one word or have an opinion on the topic.

What should we expect thought from the LEFT and their minions when Obama AG Eric Holder and Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano were critical of the Arizona law and had never even read it?
